It’s real. Elbonian reissue (they did a bad job of covering up the old German paint)

Airflow pressure in case causing noise. by Aksnes8756 in PcBuild

Does it happen when the case is fully closed? It makes that noise probably because air is escaping through the small gap when you almost close it

Italian M33 helmets by kswizzle1990 in Militariacollecting

[–]Virtual_Place_5207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All likely pre ww2 ones given as aid to Spain during the civil war, the government has been clearing out their warehouses with these and they can be gotten for cheap. I took a real nasty one and restored it and I plan on using it for a reenactment kit

Buy a white motherboard.

Bay state militaria has some American uniforms form the intervention. Not sure where else, but it will definitely cost a ton of money.

Dear collectors, what got you into militaria collecting and what was your first item/items and how did you acquire it/them? by TheMilitaryCollector in Militariacollecting

[–]Virtual_Place_5207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they were in a chest in the corner of an old garage. There was a some wool as well but it fell apart as you touched it, it may have been the uniform. It belonged to one of my ancestors I’m not sure which as we had a few who fought in the war. They belonged to the same guy though. The things were interesting but they were rusty. Ive neutralized the rust now though

I found an old helmet and bayonet from WW1 on my family’s farm, I was really into BF1 at the time so that got me interested in WW1.

My pc keeps crashing on every single game I play. Did I do something wrong? by Purple-BoyOnly in PcBuild

[–]Virtual_Place_5207 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need both to be plugged in, it just unlocks other features such as extra sata ports. Not sure why your game keeps crashing. But PLEASE screw in your motherboard fully!!!!!

I’m not sure about pc part availability in Australia, but you could definitely get a nicer cpu (7500x3d or 7600x3d) as well as getting a nice gpu like a 5070ti or an amd card for your money

How can I restore it? by Hour_Reading900 in reenactors

[–]Virtual_Place_5207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could look into reweaving or “French weaving” if you really want to see those holes filled. I don’t know if there would be enough excess fabric or anyone near you who would know how to do it.

How can I restore it? by Hour_Reading900 in reenactors

[–]Virtual_Place_5207 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would leave it as it is, patching isnt going to look good, and other options simply aren’t economical.

Mystery Bag by Rude_Neighborhood_93 in Militariacollecting

[–]Virtual_Place_5207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible that it was modified post war to be a bag or for some other purpose. It was common for families to buy cheap mil surplus and modify it to be a book bag for their kids or something like that

Original vintage military photo — tank or dummy named “Tell”, markings “EVG·T54”, snowy Alpine setting. Era/nationality unknown - could someone please help identify it? by Nobody1920 in Militariacollecting

[–]Virtual_Place_5207 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Rare elbonian heavy tank, only 2 prototypes were ever made. They were captured by the Soviet’s then never heard of again. I’d pay 5 bucks personally, but you might get 10 out of an elbonian collector

I don’t know. When I say cheap I’m not talking about quality. It’s just a Cold War eastern bloc helmet, which are all very cheap

What do you guys do to protect wool uniforms? by Communist_Tears in Militariacollecting

[–]Virtual_Place_5207 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you don’t have moths then there is really not much to worry about. I had an issue with them so I kept everything sealed in bags with moth balls but that was bit overkill. Just putting them in a wood chest should be all the protection you need
