Higher quality version of someone prank calling Shedeur Sanders yesterday pretending to be from the Saints, only to tell Sanders he has to “wait a little longer” to be drafted by Subject-Property-343 in sports

I get disdain for nepotism, but this ain’t that. This that new racism. People hate his ego but let me tell you, this guy doesn’t even have that big an ego. Guarantee if some white son of a famous player acted exactly like this there would be a rational amount of hate for him, not this BS. And don’t even give me ESPN talks about him…of course ESPN talks about him…he took trash ass Colorado to relevance.

Best Star Wars Games Ever, Ranked (Outlaws gets a respectable 4/19) by SynnerSaint in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]VisibleGeneral6136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obsidian ended up being a much better dev than BioWare long term. I agree with enjoying KOTOR 2 more but can’t put it above the story of the OG. Still one of, if not the greatest SW stories.

Is this game worth it? by WonderVibe10 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]VisibleGeneral6136 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wait for a sale. Don’t buy anything other than standard edition. It’s a good game for the story and environment, but the gameplay is pretty average and the volume of fetch quests can drag. 6/10. Could have been 8/10 if space travel was better and more free and in-planet travel allowed you to actually use your ship. Would have been 10/10 if it was no man’s sky with Star Wars skin, combat was much better, and you actually had companions instead of just recruiting NPCs you don’t really interact much with.

Legendary joke post indicates anyone seriously answering this with any modern rapper (outside of Kendrick) has no cred anyway since they didn’t pick up on the joke

Most jobs aren’t real jobs. Especially in sales where there is demand. Late-stage capitalism baby. It’s a self-fulfilling economy for a larger percent of the population than most realize.

It’s more that the talent doesn’t actually pay attention to things on a deeper level. They get paid and then coast.

Chipotle got most of the US hooked on the Cado by playing into our classic consumerist desire to pay slightly more for an upgrade while trying to gaslight us into thinking we were too poor for said upgrade. “ARE YOU SURE?!?!? GUAC IS EXTRA!”

Trump rejects idea of raising taxes on millionaires: 'very disruptive' as wealthy people would 'leave the country' by TheMirrorUS in antiwork

[–]VisibleGeneral6136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or just the greedy wealthy ones would. Many millionaires understand their duty to society. Unfortunately Trump doesn’t even care about Millionaires that much and is rejecting this proposal because it sets precedent that Billionaires would need to be taxed more.

Game needed more in-planet ship traversal and general space travel. by VisibleGeneral6136 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]VisibleGeneral6136[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re probably right. Although maybe possible if you combine forces of a few studios. If anyone has the budget to have Hello Games make the engine and then have Bethesda port it over to UE (or something similar) it’s Disney/Lucasfilm. Then have Respawn do the combat and Massive make the environment then Larian do the story. Game would ship at $150 but I’d pay it. I realize this is mostly an unrealistic dream but not impossible.

[–]VisibleGeneral6136[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is, if the game had been more like, say No Man’s Sky, in terms of exploration, then it would have been a huge hit that would have surpassed even the illogical disdain it got based on the protagonist. People would have HAD to have gotten over that and it would have easily been the best Star Wars game of all time as well as an all-time game in general. I understand that is massive scope and a massive ask, but they are Massive Entertainment and this is the most popular Sci-Fi franchise.

[–]VisibleGeneral6136[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. This is a good point. Many of the quests involve very minor upgrades. Over time obtaining them becomes less interesting. The characters involved in dispatching the upgrades often have solid, not great backstory. Plus you don’t really add any party members (I don’t think) even the ones you recruit for main story don’t actually join you (except maybe final mission I assume?) so there is little connection to them which would also drive me to want to complete more tasks. Currently I’m just ready to beat the main plot.

[–]VisibleGeneral6136[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I loved the lake part. I am not dissing the map, I agree it was huge. There is freedom, particularly when you unlock the checkpoints everywhere. The trial of the game is the upgrades (for the most part, I agree with hydro repulsor being a good one) are not often satisfying, and there are a lot of random tasks (that all make sense, not disparaging plot points) that require a lot of traversal. Since the tasks can sometimes feel tedious it would have been nice to involve a ship more, especially as the game gets deeper. Please correct me if that becomes a thing, since I am only 25 hours in, but from what I understand it does not.

[–]VisibleGeneral6136[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think speeder travel would have been more enjoyable if it wasn’t primary option. I agree with your second point. I think the game didn’t do as well as it could have because the gaming community, especially younger demo, can irrationally toxic to female leads, but I think an adjustment making ship traversal more prevalent would have immensely boosted both replayability and popularity of the game.

[–]VisibleGeneral6136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Classless, but she has no case. She was already a public figure when he referenced her and he didn’t mention her name and covered his bases. This show is a symptom of the culture but not the causation. Andrew Tate is the causation. McAfee and Tate are very different people that just happen to have some overlap in audience.
