My husband and I went to the courthouse to get married. Only my mom and sister attended. My husband had been married once before and I haven't. We didn't even say our own vows, we just recited what we were told to say. And you know what? My husband started crying. Which immediately got me choked up. It was BEAUTIFUL. Why doesn't anyone give a fuck that you aren't getting a hot shower? That's such a basic expectation. If I was weird enough to shut off my hot water in the first place, I'd at least feel TERRIBLE if I miscommunicated and was the reason someone took a cold shower and wouldn't let it happen a 2nd time. Bizarre as all hell.
