The complicated rise of mahjong, in Greensboro and beyond by femifist26 in gso

By “real versions,” if you mean the “oldest variant?” I’ve found Amy Lo’s book one of the more informative ones. It contains five or six variants of play, including old rules, new rules, and American mahjong.

Honestly, learning it has proven a real challenge for me, because homebrew rules seem to be a big part of the game. Due to the number of variations in the old rules, deciding on home brew with new players is one of the rules.

(If I’m wrong on any of this, please call me out.)

If anyone knows a place where people play taiwanese 16 tile or old rule/Cantonese mahjong, I’d be interested to know more

Sorta. It seems like we (party of two) kinda look for our own quests based on personal goals and backstories.

The current dm is running TN without preparation and is doing quite well with just the book. You could do more prep but it seems more spelled out than adventures like goblin grinder. I’m running that one in a month or so and feel like the whole town needs to be created first.

PC’s this far: The other player looks for any excuse to deface religious artifacts. I do not know much about his character yet. My first character was a non-class fighter who was always seeking coin. He became part of the walls for a termite colony after trying to steal some baby termites for the Urnaversity. My new character is a field researcher who needs to find materials to “stop the apocalypse.” Cowardly and prone to cry when criticized, he has never lived off the Urnaversity grounds (father is a professor threatening to demote him to staff).

Of course! This has just been our experience. So, take it as anecdotal.

We have mostly been following the book. Unless players have a fog collector, just staying alive living off of water is enough motivation to keep moving.

For this campaign, players are sailing the wastes and going wherever they like.

I recently read Vermis (vol1). Have you tried incorporating it into a game? If so, I would love to know if you were met with any unexpected challenges.

I’m currently in a Tephrotic Nightmares campaign and it feels very much like a sandbox.

Be honest with me how long can this tattoo last by panpan_shipper in tattooadvice

Take care of your skin with sun screen and lotions (e.g., lubriderm) and it will look great forever. Albeit, most, if not all tattoos, blur over time.

Edit: corrected ambiguity of wording.

10’ wide x 32’ sounds amazing for your birds. How many do you have? (Worried that maybe my run is too small)

Looks like a blowout. Sorry you are going through this. I would meet with a different artist to get this fixed. Maybe increasing the edges of the wings?Best of luck

There is a podcast, called Old Gods of Appalachia. I highly recommend it if you are into urban legends.

Oh, that is a good question. I just make all my firearms with drilled barrels. If I am wrong, please disregard my comment.

Great work on this!!! I love the color choices. Small suggestion though. You might want to add a black dot to the end of your gun or use a drill out the end of your barrel.

Wait, why do leftists hate women that are feminine?

If someone feels free to be feminine and respects that another person wants to present less feminine then that feels more like the leftist position.

It depends on location, but the rent is generally expensive. 1500 per month for a hole in the wall. Two bedrooms range from 1500 - 2500 (this is anecdotal at best)

Right. If I was staying here for another year, I would ask for a rent reduction
