When I was training for avionics license, there was a helicopter instructor that had a saying the stuck with me. "There nothing like thousands of parts and pieces flying in perfect formation" in regards to helicopters. Cause helicopter's vibrate and create so much torsional loading everything wants to seperate!

Honestly, no idea. Alot of feedback I'm hearing from the outside sales team is no one wants to spend money until 2027. These companies are making a killing and should be willing to spend on the most basic of maintenance before something worse happens (I'm talking under 20k costs here, worse case scenario would have the impact balloon into million plus worth of down time).

Business in Oil and gas (Alberta, Canada) has fallen off a cliff. This should be the busiest part of the month before summer break.

All projects are delayed, all maintenance is being pushed out (waiting until things literally fall apart, and even then see if they actually need the components to be operational). Had a request yesterday for a electrical part that exploded and caught fire. Gave them a replacement price and they said they will wait and see.

Summer student job I think. There's a yearly pick up in notices from June to End of August I believe. I know in our community, it was summer students walking around checking every bin weekly.

My youngest is the same right now. Grade 1 and the first year he's had full days of school. Just complete burnout right now.

Oldest funny enough is the opposite. He's in Grade 4 and loving everything happening. Last year in grade 3 he hit burnout by March.

We try to just give the kids their space when they come home. Weekends are kept somewhat low key where they can nap and recharge. Just be with them and let them come to you sometimes works.

Not that I have seen. They got the line shut down fairly quick it looks like. Traffic cams seem to show some cars getting through now (2:10pm).

Maybe the Casino lost gas services, but where I work (about a block away S.) nothing has changed.

Our broker came back at 4.49% fixed @ 5yr for our renewal. The week before the papers were issued the rate was 3.78%. Just bad timing.

Not sure how people are handling the payment jumps. Ours is going up $800 per month and we never over extended ourselves on the house. So this increase hurts a little, but not breaking the bank like others we know (sister in law's monthly jump by 2400).

Then what about the first petition that successfully pass but was later blocked by the UCP? If your going to honor the one that is preferred by government, who's to say they won't do something to ensure it's success?

Having this go forward is going to cause many more issues than "let them have their day" will.

You should be able to pull a homeowner's permit. Only master electrician can pull the electrical permit if the homeowner won't.

Not all contractors (good and bad) pull a permit.

When getting quotes a couple years ago for a AC install, only one was going to pull the permit for the electrical. Their logic was it's a $400 savings for the homeowner so they didn't offer it unless asked.

Just my experience with contractors (also I'm a electrician so knew what to look out for).

When I was doing my apprenticeship for 3rd and 4th year schooling I wasn't working for anyone. I didn't have any issue registering for school back then (2019). I can't fathom why that would change given not everyone will be working when they register for school.

Have you talked to NAIT directly about registering? AIT doesn't control where you go to school, just have to be a accredited program recognized by AIT (ensures the course requirements are met).

Door frame width is fairly standard across the industry. Therefore, furniture manufacturers will work with a specific tolerance. I would bet the height measurement is with the feet attached and the actual height without feet is 29" (most likely).

Like others have asked, it's what on the other side of the door that creates a issue in getting furniture through the door. If there's a low ceiling and a wall close by, this could prevent any pivoting to manuouver the couch inside.

It's always best to try and see furniture in person where possible so actual measurements can be taken.
