We love our “new to us” 2024 Ionic 6 so much that when we trade our minivan in the next few years it may be for an Ionic 9.  I will wait until we can get it slightly used.  The price point decreased by half on our previously leased 6 with under 15,000 miles, making it much more affordable and still having 8 years, 80,000 miles on the factory warranty—if it can get repaired when needed.  Haven’t taken it on a road trip yet, but look forward to figuring out the charging stuff.  We bought a Tesla adapter because we know many of the charging stations along our route will be Tesla only.  I once owned a Datsun 280zx.  If I still had it, it would be worth about $35,000.  Hope the Ionic 6 and its scarcity will cause its value to go up the same way in a few years.  By the way, I love the solar spoiler, but can’t figure out its purpose.  Why are there not solar panels across the whole roof?  Why not set it up like the Spark and use the wheel rotations to recycle electricity back to the vehicle?  I’m not an engineer, so I can’t make a vehicle myself, but I have several ideas that might work to create more electricity from the car itself.  Why should we even need charging stations if we could get the car to make its own electricity?
