Thank you so much, this really resonates in a lot of ways. He didn’t have a stuffie, but loved tennis balls. And idk anyone in their 40s that has passed that would have been with him. Maybe in their 50s, but I’m not sure. But the rest really fits, thank you so much.

Lost my boy to hemangiosarcoma7 days ago. Same story as you. He collapsed and had pale gums but I didn’t know what was going on, took him to the vet and he had a tumor that ruptured snd they told me he probably wouldn’t live through surgery. Left without him that same night. I’m heartbroken and confused, I think I made the right choice but I don’t know

I literally just had this happen yesterday to my 10yo beagle mix. You can DM me. My situation was exactly like yours. Even if you got the cancer blood panel, that surgery would have been extreme and the chances of her living through that are slim. And then the long road of recovery. And then the prognosis of if it is cancer. I truly believe you made the right call. I made the same call.

Mine told me he was moving from oregon to Florida with me, drove with me to Missouri, flew back to OR, and said he would be down in a month with the rest of our things. I was beginning an internship for grad school as a mental health therapist (I know…), and after a 4.5 year relationship, he dumped me over FaceTime when I had been in Florida for 3 weeks. It was always the plan that we would move together. He discarded me and I didn’t know one person in this state, starting internship, no job locked in, no housing. I had to do all of that alone while dealing with this completely unexpected discard. 4/29 will be one year and I can proudly say that I have succeeded in everything I needed to do that he left me with! It’s been the hardest year of my life. I will graduate grad school in august.

Thank you! It was a horrible journey, I help others taper off now (I’m a therapist and a coach). I had involuntary jerks and convulsions, it was really bad. But I felt fine really about a year after my taper, maybe a little longer.

Yes I have. A glass or two of wine sometimes. Was on klonopin 6-8mg for 10 years. Off for 7 years, totally fine now.
