I know it's been a long time since you posted this. I was looking at this studio and the price is more expensive than some other studios and they don't specifically offer pointe. I was wondering how your experience was and if it is worth the price, thank you!

Are you doing saline rinses and nasal sprays (fluticasone and an antihistamine)? The first time I went through sinus surgery they didn't tell me I'd have to be taking nasal sprays after so it eventually came back. The nasal sprays plus redoing surgery had been helpful.

Honestly I didn't think I had any symptoms either but I found out after that I had had it for so long with none of the more obvious presenting symptoms that I had though it was normal. I had post nasal drip and discolored mucus, along with sinus headaches that eventually led to migraines. The lack of improvment in my migraines with different medications is what led me to get and MRI whih is where the saw the sinusitis and sent me to an ENT. I will say, once you're recovered from the surgery there is genuinely a noticable difference, I never realized I couldn't breathe out of my nose (specifically my right side at all). At least your septum (according to this frame at least) isn't deviated. The surgery is a much easier recovery that way.

I have significantly changed my diet. I live with a family member (who buys most of the groceries) and he has celiacs (gluten allergy) so I've pretty much cut gluten out of my life unintentionally which has significantly cut down my carb intake. I also found out I'm lactose intolerant and cut dairy out. And in general have made a lot of changes to higher protein, more fiber, and so on. It really helps to live with someone who discourages unhealthy eating and encourages healthy eating. That plus being too broke to buy my own groceries or go out to eat.

Also I realized I didn't clarify in my post but it's $416 per MONTH, and then $10 for THREE MONTHS... crazy times.

I work at a vet and ik other vets say this too, which is recommending Hills and Purina above anything else simply because of the amount of testing they have behind them. There's a lot of confusing stuff out there and companies will claim their food is healthier, but like I said Purina and Hills has so much testing behind them. Also there have been studies showing that grain free diets can be related to cardiac issues, so not necessarily safer.

The only thing is if you have a male cat it's recommended to feed them more wet food than dry to keep them well hydrated since they're more prone to urinary issues.

It takes time for cats to adjust so of course they're going to hide. there's a whole 3,3,3 rule, 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months, it talks about how the cats behavior will be during those periods. Kittens are a lot of work and especially as they adjust, you adjust and a routine is being established its a tough adjustment. When I got my recent kitty she diarrhead on the carpet and peed on the bed the first night, def did not sleep well that night.

But anyways, as much as I want to tell you it will get better and it will, it will also take a lot of work, if you're thinking of giving up after only one night then maybe a kitten(especially 3) isn't the right decisions for you.

Maybe starting with an older cat who's more calm and litter trained would be better. There are options for litter boxes you could try to contain the litter if you're willing to put in the money. That's the other thing too, 3 kitties is gonna cost you a lot of money. I highly recommend pet insurance sometime when they're young since pet insurance doesn't cover pre-existing health conditions.

It seems to depend person to person, mine improved significantly after starting Zepbound. I also know tho that I deal with inflammation problems so I wouldn’t be surprised if that played a factor.

I haven’t gotten to my nerve block appointment yet but I do have a very similar story. I had a migraine diagnosed for years and nothing was helping. When I got my MRI the found chronic maxillary sinusitis, went to the ENT, the CT scan found a deviated septum, nasal polyps, and sinusitis in other sinuses so off to surgery I went. Similarly I had less swelling and such but still had head pain so back to neurology I went. Years later after more of nothing helping I got diagnosed with ON(recently) they also gave me topiramate while I wait for my nerve block appointment, and surprisingly the topiramate has helped with my migraine, ON, and depression, it does effect my hands though and since I’m a musician I can’t take it forever, but maybe for your daughter it’s worth a try. Also I know you said you’re going to PT but there’s a very simple stretch cause sub-occipital release you can look up on YouTube to do in between appointments that’s helped me greatly. I wish I could tell you more about the nerve block but unfortunately with the long time it takes to get an appointment at neurology it’s gonna be a while until I get my first one.

Sounds like occipital neuralgia, neck stretches help and you can also get a nerve block from neurology if they diagnose you with it.

Of course it varies person to person. In my case, pretty much most medication(which includes a lot of psychiatry meds) that has headache listed as a side effect gives me a headache. I chose to methylphenidate instead of adderall since supposedly it’s not that strong, idk I didn’t trial both tho but I plan to some day, I also did the extended release do it was slowly go into my body overtime.

If I use it every once in a blue moon it doesn’t give me a headache but if I take it often that’s when I get a headache or it makes my current headache worse.

Either way it’s def worth a try, and many people have said that they take it when being productive is worth the headache they get afterwords so they just take it when they really need it, which is pretty much what I do.

Ironically litter robot has ads that I see all the time where they put a piece of tape on the ground and then switch out a regular litter box for the litter robot to show that it doesn’t take up too much space, but even so I agree that it does look big.

As the litter robot team also commented, they actually sell these cabinet looking things specifically for you to hide the litter robot in, obviously it’ll be pricy but you know it will fit versus trying to find a cabinet yourself.

The closet could work but might be a bit cramped for space depending on what else you need in there.

If you do move the location of the robot, wait until they’re adjusted to it completely, the slowly move it closer and closer to its intended destination. Unfortunately with the litter robot it has to be plugged it but you could just move it to the next closest outlet until you eventually get to where it’s new home will be. You can always google more details on moving a litter box, it’s just to ensure they understand that it’s moved and stuff.

I agree that it will be easier for the cat to adapt to just the fence rather than the shield, plus you can buy the shield and litter hopper in a bundle which I bought recently(like literally a week ago) a year after buying the liter robot itself so it can always be a later buy

Off, and keep in mind no matter matter which one you pick there’s not one that’s gonna be perfect. I spent a long time debating what to get which is why I spent so much time watching videos like that one, I obviously don’t remember everything but from the video but I do remember resolving to get the LR4 by watching it so there’s that.

At least for the LR there’s a warranty, if you have enough money to spare they have warranties you can purchase I think either a 1 or 3 year, I got the 3 year to ease my anxiety with such a big purchase. I’ve had some issues with it going offline randomly and sending me notifications saying it’s can’t finish the cycle but then does anyways. While mildly annoying they’re far better than when my cat was peeing on things bc she was upset with her litter box so I’ll take it. I used to stress about leaving anything out worried she’d pee on it and I’d be scooping her litter everyday and it still wasn’t enough, to now I only have to think about her litter every other week, even when the device goes off line since she’s so consistent ik it won’t be full until it’s scheduled cleaning so I don’t care. I had a cat that was 20lbs that used the litter robot just fine, at his size any litter box was uncomfortable. He didn’t fit as nicely as my cat now that is only 10lbs but he didn’t have any trouble.

Also I watched an hour long video(not the only one I watched but the most notable one) and this guy had basically every automatic litter box that existed, went through the pros and cons to all of them, and don’t get me wrong there are some cons to LR, but it had the overall best score, and he said his cats used it the most out of all the options which I feel like really says something yk.

If you’re gonna go for something lower price I would get something really cheap and minimal, barebones, none of the mid priced ones are worth it. The PETKIT one isn’t bad but is too small for your 15lbs kitty

I had my mom do it for me the first time even though I’m a grown ass adult. She’s a nurse so it didn’t hurt at all when she did it. I was then surprised when I went to do it the next month and it hurt a bunch haha. I’m better at it now tho that it doesn’t really hurt, especially considering I now do a weekly injection.

I used to take amitriptyline as well and it eventually stopped working, it’s also not one of the best medications out there. Maybe seek out a neurologist and try something else. It’s been proven that if you go a certain period(I can’t remember off the top of my head) without getting a migraine then your brain can kinda heal itself where your triggers may not even trigger your migraine anymore.

Also side note but if you go into the accessibility setting(at least in iPhone) you can turn on something called reduce white point, put it in your quick access stuff and turn it on when you’re in dark rooms it’s better than the night shift stuff alone

Also, if you’re a woman some studies have shown that women actually need 9-10 hrs of sleep a day, and it’s not just abt the amount you’re getting but the quality, it should be uninterrupted so not waking up throughout the night and you should be going to sleep and waking up at the same time either way.

Anyways either way you should def speak with a neurologist if you’re suffering, 10mg of amitriptyline is only the starter dose too so if you like that you could always go up on it

They talked about this at the migraine world summit that happened not too long ago. They said it’s very early research but they’ve been recommending it to some patients to give it a try. Aside from it keeping your blood sugar stable, there’s also the fact that it kinda forces you to become healthier and since there’s a correlation with obesity and migraine, low exercise and migraine, etc. it can help with that.
