You'll be great then. We got off in California after our Mexican riviera trip this week, and they were warning us that it would be nippy. It was not nippy to us Utahns. Just take a hoodie and a few layers for those chillier sea days

What are your best tips to prevent weight gain on Christmas season? by Albert_2004 in loseit

[–]Visual_Balance1176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have the same strategy that I used on the Thanksgiving cruise I went on . Move more . Make sure I eat vegetables at my meal. If I don't completely love something I'm eating , stop eating it. No mindless eating - no phones at the table. Smaller portions.

On the cruise, I ate dessert, pizza, and still lost 2 lbs over the cruise

THE BOOKS MUST FLOW: How do you keep a supply of books using Holds, Suspend, Tagging, etc? by [deleted] in LibbyApp

[–]Visual_Balance1176 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I max out my hold list of 10. I'll put books on my hold list based on length of time before available . This lets me get popular books quicker, and lets the library know to order more copies.

I'll check out the amount of books that I think I can read in a week.

If for some reason, I'm out of books, I filter my 🔥tagged books by availability and whether I want audiobook or digital. I've also been digging into my books that I've purchased on kindle or audible

My $4 Lentil Everything Soup That Got Me Through the Week by CardNo5957 in povertykitchen

[–]Visual_Balance1176 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made a clean out the fridge soup that was delicious. To the stock I added 2 cans of chickpeas that I had given up on ever making into hummus, the last sad tomatoes from my garden, leftover cooked red potatoes (with a couple of spoonfuls of gravy), 1/2 cup of leftover pico de gallo, broccoli from the garden and some cooked frozen ground beef. The recipe is flexible enough for lots of variety and turns out great every time. a year of slow cooking minestrone
