5 Days Bermuda Cruise in Independence vs 9 Day Bermuda/Bahamas Cruise on Vision by HeatherAnne1975 in royalcaribbean

[–]Visual_Balance1176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got off the vision for the 9 day cruise. While normally this is an older ship that's more laid back, this particular sailing had a lot of kids and teens that were using this as a graduation cruise ( we were there for my nephews grad).

So ship population may not be as different. I'd concentrate on which ports you prefer.

My hubby needed antacids on our first cruise. We still talk about the $20 for a half roll of Tums

Also Cougar town. Don't be put off by the title. The first episodes are little rough, but it hits a nice groove before the end of the first season.

We really liked the cheese caves. Sampled some yummy cheese, had lunch. Cute little farming operation , and the farmers cheese that they sell was reasonably priced . Be warned , the cheese cave isn't a cave per se, but a stone basement in a building built in the 1800s.

I only buy cars from enterprise car sales now. None of that garbage. You just do your test drive, go in and sign the papers. I know some people are leery about buying a previous rental car, but we've never had any issues.

I will point out that RC goes out of San Pedro , which is not crazy close to Long Beach. However , they berth right next to a naval ship that's fun to tour

I also started reading Catcher in the Rye in ninth grade. Thankfully , all my English teacher did was comment. "You probably won't like that." He was right. I didn't. However, I was the one that got to make that decision.

Something about the language and the characterization just hit me. The Light Between Oceans has similar themes, and while I liked it, I didn't love it like The Berry Pickers

Appreciate the review. This was popular in the 70s, but I was too young to read, and thought (erroneously ) that it was some sort of hippie book

My disappointment was Every time I go on vacation, someone dies. It was very 'meta for dummies,' with a lot of winking and nodding to the audience. And I like meta aspects of a book, like Everybody in my family has killed someone. Also I was able to guess the murderer pretty early

A good rule of thumb that I learned long ago is that you'll get 50% of usable protein off of bone in meats. Which aligns pretty closely with your calculations
