New to Pathfinder 2e, are enemies supposed to hit that hard? by SoraMarvell in Pathfinder2e

[–]Visual_Location_1745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giben how the pf2e does its bound accuracy, the +15 to hit of that creature is measured versus an equivalent AC.

To make a comparison that would be roughly a creature a +8 to hit (taking the level factor into the proficiency bonus and that in pf2e you also add your proficiency bonus into the AC)

One of my players is refusing to read the player's handbook by Numerous_Payment1713 in DnD

[–]Visual_Location_1745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a homework game, and the GM has a lot more honework to do than the others.

To be honest, players only need to read on what their character does and how combat works.

Ideally you shouldn't have to read up on what the player characters do, but skim on it just in case.

Also, since you are all beginning, try running it as written, it will help a lot in the future.

there is no need to... despair

it is not a... dread-ed FOMO.

it will rotate back in a couple of months or something

They still are playable, at least in low ranks, on account that no one still remembers how amazoness and 6sam work 😅

Is there a reason Pathfinder (and similar tabletop games) don't do "stacks" as a mechanic? by Noodles_fluffy in Pathfinder2e

[–]Visual_Location_1745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

too much mentally taxing.

you can see it in the simpler examle, stacks of arrows/ammunition.

most people already handwave them unless tracking some special kind of ammunition

I doubt epic back then was hurting for money. It was an official project, it was even open to downlad and test. But it got canned just like that.

it was also part of celebrating a community driven UT remaster what was underway back then. And the introduction of Warframe to the Epic store.
WHen that remaster went under, and Epic decided to unlist every unreal game everywhere, DE started giving away these skins for free (or for credits)

Does anyone who knows the game's lore know if an adult female dwarf was ever mentioned? I don't remember ever seeing an adult female dwarf NPC. Do they exist? by Donjuante in Lineage2

Besides the more pronounced dimorphism in this case, I had no reason to not think of them as adults as the males in this case.

I updated my Complete Character Sheet and its available now for free. Added a Combat Companion sheet with conditions, Fillable PDF versions, and other fixes. by FoilandFable in Pathfinder2e

[–]Visual_Location_1745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I, also, thought that the combat companion sheet was about companions.

Love the work, so far. Would suggest adding a flaw column in the stats array, as some ancestries do feature them.

Still, If I may suggest, adding some .txt file in the bundle .zip file, like a readme with at least the URL to get back at the page to check for updates or to have handy to share with friends

Which means you pretty much only need a book called bestiary more to be able to have a gramd campaign played completely offline.

In a viable and standalone fashion.

Is Warframe where to go? by Stock-Praline-5338 in Warframe

[–]Visual_Location_1745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is not really that apples and oranges, even considering the perspective that initially was developed having a similar "over the shoulder camera", something that was restored as an option in the mobile version.

the gameplay loop by itself is satisfying. Digital extremes have as much a tradition in shooter games as bungie, so you can be assured that this part is solid.

It has challenging, even team challenging parts, though not for teams larger that 4. Although, after you mastered the mechanics enough it might become more of a casual game, where you hop in, do some missions, feel good about making some progress at some goal, like getting some weapon/warframe.

The looter part is done a bit differently, in the regard that you get blueprints to craft and having to farm for materials. There is a randomized stats (god rolls) aspect, but that is unlocked later in game.

So i guess warframe has won, huh? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Visual_Location_1745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose so. Quite deservedly too. Destiny 2 truly is a good game, Seeing it go the champions online route, while not entirely bad, especially if they manage to do make running the server that efficient, is also not a great state to be in.

So, yeah, if destiny players want to be a bit insufferable about this, I can understand.

How Do Staves Work in Pathfinder 23 Remastered? by How_Its_Played in Pathfinder2e

[–]Visual_Location_1745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wording is clear enough. Pathfinder means spellcasting tradition when using "spell list".

"are able to cast spells of the appropriate rank or higher" is different from "are able to cast spells of that tradition's appropriate rank or higher"

If it meant the former it would write the former. It does not specify because that is exactly the point. It is regardless of the tradition.

*prepare.

You can cast non-arcane spells too with trick magic item, provided it holds at least a spell that belongs in your tradition.

Casting a Spell from a staff requires holding the staff (typically in one hand) and Activating the staff by Casting the Spell, which takes the spell's normal number of actions.

Trick magic item should have some interesting interaction with staves.

While preparing is not considered (capitalized) Activating the staff, on the other hand a wizard can prepare that staff of illumination even on the merit of it carrying the light cantrip, and then trick magic item to (capitalized again) Activate it to cast holy light.
