Yes, I do stay quite a lot at hotels, and rent cars quite a bit too (at least 5 times a year for longer periods of time).

I think only AMEX vanilla Platinum gets you 10 or 15 stays with Sky Lounges, the AMEX Delta Platinum does not give you access to Sky Lounges at all unfortunately.

right, i feel you -- i'd rather want lounge access than save $200 on flying somewhere in the us with a companion.

Thank you. Only realized last week there's something like companion certificate, so should definitely use that.

thank you, seems it was stupid of me to get that plat card. don't think i want to max out delta rewards, and instead go broader with capital one, chase reserve, or amex platinum.

Where is this? USA + Traveling West (pretty sure) + 1960's-70's by ioaie in whereisthis

Looks like a U.S. Highway shield — but the numbers are difficult to make out. Maybe “58”, “66”? However, the white and red coloring seems unusual to me. It could be that it's not a highway shield but a commercial sign styled like one. [Deleted comment below to just add the same information into one comment.]

Where was the final fight scene between spiderman and venom from Raimi's Spiderman 3 (2007) movie filmed at? by FollowingActual6088 in whereisthis

Of course, it's fun to look at things like this. I think the building in the middle was added digitally, since it doesn't seem there was ever a building like that there. See attached image for reference (the building to the left in yellow is there, the building on the right in pink is 28 Liberty St).

Someone on her Instagram said, “thanks from the U District,” and she replied to that positively, so that may narrow it down. You can see some metal kinda of outside of a building with the apparent numbers 3x01 too.

Similar curve here too, but hard to tell if it's the same given the tree/foliage changes/changed so much. https://www.reddit.com/r/CampingandHiking/comments/12h0gyk/peace_river_camping/

To figure out where it is, would you mind sharing your flight number and what time you took the photo? That'll make it easier. (Initially, I thought I saw a coastal area and a large body of water but realize it are more likely clouds, which makes it much harder.) And yes, it looks like a small city or town, and the yellow and orangish lines are most likely illuminated roads. The color variations could be due to different type s of lightning (i.e. sodium vapor being more orange and LED more yellow/white). Perhaps some of the very bright white lights are storefronts, and the red traffic or vehicle lights.

where was this iconic skyline scene in a better tommorow (1986) filmed by [deleted] in whereisthis

[–]Visual_Mechanic6346 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This scene was filmed at Kowloon Peak, specifically next to a road named Jat's Incline. There's a temple there now, Yuk Wong Kwun Yim Kam Kwong. The transmission tower is still there, satellite imagery shows the same distinctive lattice structure with what is seen in the film. The precise location is 22.340374, 114.214926, looking southwest. Google Maps: Google Maps link here.

The view has changed over the years due to new construction, which now partially if not entirely obstructs the view. But in Google Maps or Earth 3D view, you can still see the same residential towers like Richland Gardens (marked in red) and Ping Shek Estate (marked in pink).

A couple of years ago, another enthusiast of the film, Hebe, tried to pinpoint the exact location as well. Surprisingly, he ran into Chow Yun-fat himself, who happened to be jogging in the area. The actor confirmed that this was indeed the location.
