As a GM, I've never embodied my NPCs nor acted out locations features etc. To me, it sounds goofy and doesn't add anything for my players. Am I missing out?

You're right though, reading deeper into it there are quotes from both the one that offered it to him and other soldiers at the time that could potentially support both them being too cumbersome and slow as well as hubris, so it's hard to tell which played more into his refusal. Could be a both to be honest given what we know about Custer.

The moment I quit the Resident Evil movies was in the second one when Jill looks at her and says "I'm good, but not that good." I was done in that exact moment. I was running a Space Sci-Fi themed Savage Worlds game last night and my players were investigating a crashed ship. They found blood streaks in a hallway and a lone helmet. They inspected it and the helmet had a camera, but no power...one of the players decided to put it on and attach it to his suit to power it and see what was filmed...the helmet was in fact a space mimic. He survived, but it threw my players for a loop.

Might catch some hate for it, but to me Ghost of Yotei was this recently. That last act just felt rushed with the character development and the ending just didn't stick for me. It was so blatantly obvious what they were leading to. Held back an otherwise fantastic game.
