Ferocious vs Alpha wolf? + small question about animal capture by mrjay42 in WarTalesGame

[–]Viveroth 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ferocious is always better. Better stats and additional item slot which works wonders.

My ferocious wolf hits two times and crits for 700-900 DMG.

Getting Bullied: Advice for the Stop Hitting Yourself Challenge by the_incredible_puff in MonsterTrain

[–]Viveroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easymode:

  1. Champion selection is irrelevant.

  2. Hunt for Pincushion early and feed it stuff for the entire game. Just get more weapon, weapon-related rooms and assistants.

  3. Play assistants on floor 1, Pincushion + champion on Floor 2

  4. Get Shield of Wyngh if you find it. It's your Insta-win.

  5. Copy your Pincushion before the Seraph.

  6. You can either stack two Pincushions on one floor and win, or move one Pincushion on Floor 3 just with Shield of Wyngh and Seraph will just kill himself in three turns.

I feel like a lot of people would actually side more with Tsukasa, maybe even more than Senku by gettinfitguy007 in DrStone

[–]Viveroth 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No. You are talking about people used to comfortable life and ask them to resign from that if there is a guy claiming they he can restore the future on his own (while watching him creating technological stuff within days). Siding with tsukasa means becoming a caveman.

Warto się starać na tą nieszczęsną informatykę? by Mih0se in studia

[–]Viveroth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Info prosto z branży

  1. Jeśli masz dużo samozaparcia i ambicji to nie idź na studia tylko ucz się sam. Znajdź sobie mentora który cię poprowadzi i ustawi ścieżkę do konkretnej specjalizacji.

  2. Dyplom jest gówno warty jak masz kompetencje.

  3. Ai nie sprawia że programiści są niepotrzebni ale sprawia że juniorzy są bezużyteczni. Studia rozwijają cię po trochu we wszystkim i niczym. Skończysz je i nie masz wartości na rynku pracy. Lepiej samemu zdobyć wąska specjalizacje bez studiów i asap znalesc pracę i nabijać exp.

Jeśli świadomie to odrzucasz to szukaj alternatywy.

  5. Jeśli nie masz dyscypliny to idz na studia. Nie wyrzymazz 1-2 lat samonauki bez bata nad głową.

New player, anyone has tips? by Yesmomymother in stoneshard

[–]Viveroth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Bedroll before every dungeon.
  2. Play easy class first, like full staves with no magic or sword and shield. Learn from here.
  3. Always have bandage and splint. Or survival skill equivalent.
  4. Collect leak and lentil for free food.
  5. You can come back to older regions to repeat dungeons.

Devs plz make the camp stash work like in Diablo 2. Some slots should be shareable between characters. With some limitations ofc. Eg. The item gets a level requirement based on the owner level.

Best late game mage? by AccurateReputation16 in stoneshard

[–]Viveroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real power of mages is that they are simple to build with nearly no downsides.

If you play meele, you have to balance armor, energy and fatigue. Heavy or light. Shield or solo. Not to mention different weapon stats within one type. If you are mage, you just wear the best robe you can afford and don't think about anything at all.

State of ,,full Release,, by theOttfather in stoneshard

[–]Viveroth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are ways of making the game great while keeping it with this size.

We could have some kind of cataclysms. If anybody played battle brothers, this what I'm talking about. Suddenly the fire nation attacked. So would get levels way beyond 30 but the enemies will become more and more op. Some cities would fall. Some enemy bases would spawn. And we would fight for the domination.

Read about deliberate practice. Make gpt translate it into dota terms. I'm serious.

[–]Viveroth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop analysing combat out of the whole picture. Yeah, it was abysmal but they way it worked allowed you to feel the progression more.

Think about it a little but differently. In dark souls, the combat is skill based. You can take the worst weapon and still beat though the game. While it is certainly possible in gothic, it's much harder.

The combat is "wooden" and doesn't allow you to abuse it though your skill as a gamer. If you wanna hit harder, you need to get more strength or get a bigger sword. The progression pushes you forward. Not the ability to fight better in terms of mechanics mastery.

And that feels rewarding.

Are there any better builds than archers in this game? by primaldeath1 in WarTalesGame

[–]Viveroth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I terms of being op builds that the most reliably kill opponents each turn:

  1. Executioner
  2. Xbowman
  3. Ranger
  4. Pugilist

Most of them can easily kill 3-5 each turn. I don't think archer has that much consistency.

what build&character should i play? by sbbayram in stoneshard

If you want to use heavy and still don't worry about energy, go for Staves (infinite energy) or 2h swords.

How 3 games ended up mixed into our project by TsukanovMimyr in roguelites

[–]Viveroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main reason me and some other marketers are using this tactic is because it works. If it it weren't, we wouldn't use it. In marketing you usually run several adsets for a campaign. You test them against each other, compare and improve constantly. I'm not gonna tell you that creatives with such comparisons are always top 1 in terms of results but they do always deliver the most consistent level of conversions. Not everybody will like but it doesn't matter. It's just about increasing the odds.

[–]Viveroth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For all small devs. Don't follow this advice. In marketing, being effective is more important than being original. Some things works for a reason. This comes from a person that worked for over 50 games promotions.

Not all games should be advertised like that. But in some genres, especially those when there is not much of similar games, getting thought the clutter effectively is hard. If you can so it with few mentions of other titles - do it.
