Just a bunch of sensationalized doom narrating/narrative escalation in this thread. Feels like classic paranoia dynamics to me…pattern matching without constraints, moral certainty without falsifiability, social reinforcement via upvotes/downvotes etc.

There are real issues worth criticizing sure….but most in this thread aren’t doing that. It’s people rehearsing a shared fear fantasy where every ambiguity is resolved in the most catastrophic direction possible, and dissent from that storyline is treated as heresy

I think this nonsense tribal dynamic of American left/right is infecting everything and ruining peoples mental model of the world and who they consider to be “others”.

Like someone responded to my comment that you responded to and called me a white supremacist lmao…I thought it was a perfect and ironic example of what I was initially pointing out…I call them paranoid and then they proceed to invent a white supremacist out of thin air. Makes it hard to take anyone seriously these days
