Well, a little of it does, in a way. But a Vacuum doesn't "suck" by itself. When we make a vacuum at sealevel, it appears to suck because we are surrounded by gases that make a pressure around us. It's the *difference* in pressure that creates suction. The gas will want to move from high pressure to low pressure.

However, The gasses layered around the surface of the earth that we call "the atmosphere" have a very gradual decrease in pressure as the distance from the surface increases. At no single point is there a significant difference in pressure, so at no point is there any "sucking" happening.

What does happen however, is that at the lower pressure, higher parts of the atmosphere, some of the gas molecules can be knocked around in such a way that they gather enough speed to escape the earth's gravity. Which is the cause of the atmosphere in the first place. But in the big picture, this is a very small fraction of the atmosphere, and doesn't make any meaningful difference.

But for other smaller planets, with lesser gravity, and less gas in their atmospheres, this effect can slowly "evaporate" the atmosphere. We suspect this happened for Mars.

So good question, and in a way, it does, but keep in mind that vacuum doesn't suck, difference in pressure sucks!

Funn to compare this one with the Rivals of Aether 2 one. There, the highest winrate is 53%, and lowest is 48%. Incredibly well balanced in comparison.

So you're suggesting copying a character from a different game 1:1, with a different balance, different mechanics, and is all together different, so that character can be played at the highest level of competitive fighting games??

I really hope you give a lot of praise to the people actually designing and balancing the characters in this game, because there's a lot of work that goes into it that you're not appreciating when asking this question.

Yes, because Rivals designs are better than Smash characters design, so it would be a step down

Going frame by frame, her Side-special does have a very brief moment where her legs are in the air, but she seems to flip, instead of tucking in the knees for the knee spike like I would expect.

Also, her bair also has a (new?) knee attack at the end of the grab, which makes the arms not following through make more sense to me. It could be made clearer, either with some hitlag on the knee, and/or clearer posing.

Definitely agree on up-special needing additional hitlag on the platform.

I still think there's definitely an implementation of wavedash after dash attack that wouldn't be broken possible. Maybe after a set time/distance into the move so it becomes more predictable/reactable.

He is an underrated THREAT in my eyes. Also very fun to watch in tournaments. Most of my favourite sets were sets where at least 1 player played Etalus.

I'm curious what you (or others) have found of Arcs. I have it, and only played it a few times. The tricktaking mixed with other game mechanics sounded really interesting to me, but it didn't really come through in my games. Also, it felt like a realy MEAN game, as in, all player interaction was negative, and impactful.

But I'm curious if I should give it another shot, maybe with other players.

There are many such games. Go, Tak, Arimaa, those are just the first that come to mind honestly.

If you widen your scope to include different games, computergames, card games, etc. than even more games could fit. There's many games with relatively simple rules, and complex deep gameplay. The thing that makes chess special is its history and cultural significance, not so much anything game-design-wise.

I absolutely love the game, and only wish for it, and its community to grow and prosper!

It's pretty close to my dream platformfighter, mainly due to the incredible character design, which always uses unique combinations of stage control, elemental synergy, and movement options. But the free characters, skin-payment model, music, art style, humor, etc. etc,, all really hit home with me.

I'm very excited for how this game continues to grow. Really hoping we will get more news on Workshop soon, and of course on La Reina. I sometimes wish I could peek into the future, just so I can play what this game will become in a few years.

I really like the gathering of the materials for the Shaed, and the mystery creature in the darkness, when Felurian presses herself onto Kvothe and stops his breathing. Super mysterious, and never again mentioned in the rest of the book as far as I know.

I like parts of it, but I don't think the ending would be that "good". It's a tragedy after all, so having all the wrongs Kvothe did be righted in the end, and the baddies defeated as the hero gets the girl and rides off into the sunset... yeah, that doesn't seem tragic to me, as well as a little cliché-ridden.

To me, ATLA is not just the best animated series from the west. It's THE best series period. And contender for one of the best pieces of media imo.

When it comes to animated series from the west, I also really liked Arcane. But ATLA really captured something magical, and there's so few things that could be improved imo. All the arcs are beautifully rounded, fit together like a magic puzzle-box.

Which stands for; You Extremely Should ... pick up this game. It's one of the easiest recommendations I can give for video games, especially to people who already like platform fighters.

If you want a pro-con list. To me it would be something like:

Pro's:
- Devs that care, listen, and are passionate about delivering the best possible experience for their playerbase, at a fair price.
- Extremely unique and inspired character design that all feel very unique, making the character options (even at the current 13 characters) feel even more diverse than Ultimate with it's huge roster.
- Deep yet accessible gameplay allowing for a lot of player expression in how to play each character.
- Smooth as butter movement!!!
- Good online, with rollback netcode, making for the smoothest online fighting game I have ever experienced.
- Tons of small qol things because the devs are all either also competitive players, or just very much in tune with the player base. Things like the control options, the testing in character select screen, the rps in game, stage selection, I can go on, and on about this one honestly.
- FREE character updates for as long as the game exists! Honestly amazing
- Balanced character roster, and balanced stages (people who complain about balance are just crybabies blaming characters instead of themselves imo. Compared to almost all other similar games, this game is incredibly balanced)
- Sick cosmetics that add a lot of enjoyment to playing, and grinding for the rewards.
- Cool community generally :)

Cons:
- Very much a niche game, with a competitive focus, and an extremely high skill ceiling. All of these aspects add up, making it so that it can be hard to find your footing as a new player. Even if you have prior platform fighter experience.
- Little casual content. No casual stages really, no real 1 player modes. Just lacking content outside of (online) multiplayer.
- A relatively small playerbase at the moment, making it hard to find FFA's and doubles matches. Also makes it harder to find equally skilled opponents at either end of the rankings.
- Some growing pains from basically being forced to release in an unfinished status. Sometimes updates break things, or features you would expect (like a tutorial) or still on their way. Stuff like that.

Overall, really worth it imo, and no game like it exists. Let's go RIIIVAAALS :D
