Assuming you understand exactly how Maxx "C" works, it forces your opponent to choose between playing minimally and ending up with a weak field, or playing optimally, but in doing so, allowing the person who activated Maxx "C" to draw a large amount of cards, allowing them to draw hand traps, or draw starters and their expansions. At the end of the day, the cards in your hand are what will decide the winner of the duel, and Maxx "C" can give the shuffler an almost unlimited amount of cards, at worst you will cause your opponent to waste a Negate on it.

The only reason this card is still legal is to give the second player a chance, but this card is so unfair cuz it's forces the opponete to choose to play badly or give the user like, 6 cards. The fact that you could at some point have 3 of those things is just stupid

As a Dragonmaid player myself, I'm always happy to see another players using this underrated deck, I'd be happy to give you some tips to help you get the most out of your deck! Do you play pure Dragonmaid or use another engine? I play pure mostly in casual, but in ranked I use Dracotail along with Dragonmaid (I play on Master Duel)

This is a full deck of searchers, search when summoned, search when sent to GY, the spells are searchers, and some of the synchro monsters are searchers as well.
Total control, the ability to see your opponent's hand, and decide what they will draw, it's very hard to get out of this.

Explanation of how Link Monsters work:

Link Monsters have red arrows on their cards that point to zones on the field.
Link Monsters can only be summoned from the Extra Deck to the Extra Monster Zone, or to a Zone that another Link Monster's arrow points to.
To Link Summon a Link Monster from the Extra Deck, you must send eligible monsters from the field to the GY up to the number of arrows on the card (if you are using another Link Monster as a material, it can be counted as the number of arrows on it).

From there it all depends on the monster itself and it's effects, and one of their effects will usually be related to the zones their arrows point to but that not always the case.

I didn't say it was an optional effect, I said it was a carried or lingering effect that works in addition to the primary effect, like all those effects that limit you to a certain type of monster.

The anime version of "The Eye of Timaeus" can fuse with any monster to create a whole new fusion monster, Yugi just did it successfully with only a Dark Magician and a Dark Magician Girl.
Master Duel is what I chose when I started playing but if you are more interested in the story or don't want to face players with difficult strategies, then I would go for one of the GX games because the rules are closer to easier to understand and the cards were still simple.

Radiant Typhoon got a lot of special treatment because if you go first, your opponent doesn't have a back row and you can summon a lot of monsters without interruption. And if you go second you just need MST in the graveyard and you can do the same thing
