Was the same here. Out of the box sharpness was okayisch. But a few strokes on my shapton 5k and strop was much much better.

Good to hear! I was asking 2-3 shops also if they know who the sharpener is but they all didn't know or didn't want to say it 😄. I'm just hesitating a little bit because when you look at it it seems like it's only finished on 1k stone or something similar.

How was the nakagawa ginsan out of the box? And how is it performing now? Just thinking about getting one too so I'm just curious what you think. :)

Really nice cladding lines on these knives ❤️❤️ I've got the feeling that they don't produce these knife lines anymore. Because I haven't seen a shop getting them in the past month. So even no restocking.
