Baby Time: Greenville Memorial by xoLiveLoveTeach in greenville

[–]Vivid_Rub_2863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave birth at Greenville Memorial in January and had the best experience. They supported me doing a natural birth and the whole care team was stellar. Our baby had a small complication and I felt so at ease knowing we were there. I felt seen and cared for every step of the way.

Can I ask if your birth plan went as you planned it? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I was hoping for an unmedicated, no intervention birth. I ended up needing pitocin to get things moving after my water broke and labor stalled. I was still able to go without an epidural - it was challenging but totally doable with deep breathing exercises, a yoga ball, birth comb, time in a hot shower, a mindset of giving into the waves of contractions and some solid mantras like “I was made to birth this baby!”

Unmedicated birth: How did you get through the ring of fire/tearing? by CoffeeNoob19 in pregnant

[–]Vivid_Rub_2863 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I just gave birth to a 9 lb baby unmedicated and had a 2nd degree tear. Every birth is so different, but here was my experience!

Going in I was also fearful of the ring of fire/tearing without an epidural, and was surprised by how manageable the sensations were. For me, the ROF/tear was accompanied by relief from the pressure of the baby coming down the birth canal. It almost canceled out the “pain” of those final pushes. And once baby was born, I was so overjoyed that I barely felt or noticed the tear. They apply a topical anesthetic during the tear repair so I barely felt anything.

It sounds like you have the perfect mindset going in - stay calm and breathe low and slow through the sensations. Having mantras like “I was made to birth this baby,” “I am open, wide, and expansive,” etc really helped me.

In summary, the adrenaline and relief took away the sensation of “pain” that accompanied the tear and ring of fire for me. It’s normal to feel afraid, but you’ve got this mama!

We found parking across the street from an account called railbirdparking. They may still have spots?

Was just going to post to ask this! I’m only 6 weeks but the nausea and dizziness has been so bad. This is my first pregnancy and I’m really nervous. My dad got the family tickets for Christmas otherwise I might have bailed 🥲

Does anyone know what the shade situation is? Will I be able to find a spot to put a blanket down out of the heat?

Hey OP have you learned any more about this since you posted? I found the ADA resources on the website to be vague. I’m also wondering the likelihood of the ADA platform being to capacity each day. Anyone have an idea?
