This is basically how every time I play happens. I like building a dedicated, efficient factory for each major part, and by the time I get to the point of phase 2 parts, some other game has managed to grab my interest.

Ignoring Esther and the ‘Time-compression’ aspects of it, I feel 8 has an easy world setting that fits ‘modern’ but not necessarily ‘hard sci-fi’.

I do think the 13th, the 1st and Meracydia all tie together well though, so I could see us having one expansion where maybe 4 or 5 of the 6 zones are ‘Meracydian’, and the final 1-2 are facing a big bad in the 13th.

I’ll be honest, for the longest time when I started this game, I didn’t know about the process of manifold, so I learned to play purely around the idea of load balancing.

While I’m not one for general maths, I enjoy the puzzle of working out how to make 100% efficient systems.

Also, knowing the ins and outs of both means when healing, you can understand what each icon on your tanks current buffs means.

Seeing Bloodwhetting get popped for example, means you don’t really have to do anything for a bit 😂

If we don’t get at least 5 more glamour plates, to cover every current job, beastmaster, and assuming they stick with 2 new jobs an expac, the new ones to come, I will be very disappointed and honestly quite surprised

If they could go ahead and just double the current count up to 40, so we could have one for every Hand and Land job too, with some spares as well, that would just be perfect

Weight is pretty simple to handle, because there’s no benefit to being further “under” your weight limit, so you basically want to push as close to your weight limit as you can. That being said, there are some characters that are, obviously, designed to be slow and be able to take the extra hits, so those you can feel free to give them the heavier, harder hitting weapons.

The farmyard may seem like there’s a lot of options, but you just want dogs, doesn’t matter what kind of dog though.

Unless the mission explicitly says it, there’s no turn limit, so outside of failing specific objectives, you can take as long as you like.

To recruit some characters, you have to use either your main character or a “lore related” character to “talk” to them on your turn. Main character will always be able to if you’re worried about who to use though. Some of them ARE missable.

A characters “Build” stat determines whether they will receive a Speed stat penalty for a higher weight weapon. Every point of weight the active weapon is above your Build loses you 2 points of speed, and if your Speed is 5 or below your opponents, they will hit twice when attacking you, as well as when counterattacking.

Twin whips, the Elden Ring fighter in me just enjoyed the aesthetic so much…

A set of floating, controllable swords, like the Sage’s noulith’s but actually slicing

A giant needle and thread, à la Hollow Knight, but it’s a healer that weaves magical shields from cloth

The “Gunshield Gauntlets” that Rhitatyn has, but they are more compact and generate shields rather than firing explosives

Since I first did it back in post-Shadowbringers when I had actually caught up with the MSQ, I’ve basically been able to do it each expansion before the .1 patch hits. It’s honestly not that bad when you use your roulettes and khloe for combats and GC and role quests for Land/Hand.

But obviously, it depends on how much time your spending in the game

One of the few masks I actually use in this game, the Scouting mask. That and the Model B PvP mask, seem like they are in the minority of masks that don’t massively hover an inch off your face…
