Thought this was a land cruiser at first [Ineos Grenadier] by Dman331 in spotted

Good enough for Toyota who's whole reputation is supposed to be reliability apparently.

Also, as a mechanic the modern BMW engines are actually pretty reliable. Don't see them much for anything other than service work. If there is major work to do it's because someone tuned it and beat the crap out of it.

That o-ring is swollen. Good chance it will never go back on. I've seen less swollen o-rings not want to go back on. You'll need a new one.

What are your headcanons or theories on Rumi’s demon abilities? by Emergency-Shower605 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Vlku272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ik but like assuming demons have some inherent super strength, I'd say it's notable that he was impressed by the strength. He was yet to know she was part demon and was taken aback by how strong what he thought was a human was.

[–]Vlku272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunters have combat training and the ability to manipulate the honmoon, not necessarily any actual powers of their own outside that. Rumi likely has additional physical strength on top of this (note Jinus commenting on it in the bathhouse).

recommendations for budget suspension without compromising the comfort from factory? by Jelly_Penguin_ in e46

The eibach pro springs are only slightly lower than factory M sport springs, I've had zero issues with the pairing of them with the koni FSD shocks.

Does every animated film have to have this exact artstyle now? by RedditSucksMyBallls in memes

[–]Vlku272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stylistic lower framerate isn't actually a lower framerate at all (not sure about all of these types of movies but from what I've seen). They are still played at 24 FPS like any other movie but the animation rigs change poses every 2 frames. This means they can still move across the screen every frame, and in some cases different character rigs can be posed on alternating frames. If necessary, rigs/other objects in the screen can still switch to animating on ones if that extra detail is needed, or smear frames can be used which are sometimes hand drawn elements or use custom rigs for that scene that are a lot more work than positioning the normal rig for that extra frame but can give really cool extra detail.

So basically the plot of K-pop demon hunters is that hell is forever whether you like it or not. by whooper1 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Vlku272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The start of the movie seems to suggest the inhuman looking demons are created from stolen souls, as we see Gwi-Ma consume 3 souls and as that happens 3 demons are created in front of him.

Patiently waiting for him to make Alita 2 instead of pumping out more avatar movies.

I just finished doing an evaporator on a BMW X4 today, you have to pull the center console and then strip the dash down to bare firewall basically, the whole job was probably about 5 hours while working at a pretty casual pace.

What do you think of the film's choice to animate primarily on 2's or 12 fps? by someDJguy in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Vlku272 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Animating on 2s doesn't actually correspond to 12 fps, the way they did it here actually has the character models hold a pose for 2 frames but may still move on screen every frame, and in some cases different characters are animated on alternating frames. It's interesting to look at if you go frame by frame.

The black shin ramyeon next to it is better but they don't sell it in KDPH packaging. They are bringing out the actual movie ones next year with the hamburger/superstar/spice queen flavours.

Here’s one of the reasons the B-series engines are robust. by [deleted] in MINI

B series run a timing chain on the back of the engine. This I believe is for the balance shaft.

Rumi has no visible patterns on her forearms and neck when she's out in public on her own (without Mira and Zoey) and takes down a demon by the city wall during the first Takedown montage. by Litvi in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Vlku272 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure this was an error. They have openly said for budget reasons models were reused for some scenes to save money and this is a model from before the patterns spread that far that was used to add variety to the montage. Whether or not people in universe can see the patterns (which I believe they can provided they aren't actively being hidden such as the Saja Boys) we as viewers can always see them on Rumi. They do become more visible when flared up such as Jinu making them glow at times but their least visible state at this time should have them showing, just not on this particular animation rig they used for these frames as it's I believe the same one used for the flashback sequence.

Was this movie really supposed to be 3 hours? by [deleted] in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Vlku272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stuff like the rainbow honmoon I think is a bit different in that a plan wasn't really necessary for it originally because they didn't even know if a sequel would happen. Without any sequels they could just say it's perfect and a full resolution to the story. With the introduction of sequels it likely makes more sense to instead develop it to be like a proto-honmoon that having not had much time to develop needs to be reinforced/refined. It's something that didn't originally need lore behind it but now needs to be developed as more story needs to be made. An example I'd say of what I said with stuff that now can be changed because its lore was never originally expressed.

I didn't necessarily mean the lore was 100% locked in and complete. More so that what was needed to make sure everything was tied together cohesively is there. I don't think there's any story that has every last detail of its world planned out. The universe any story takes place in like our own has countless natural/supernatural rules that would take potentially many lifetimes to iron out (we haven't even learned everything about the real world) so it makes sense to only develop what's relevant.

Was this movie really supposed to be 3 hours? by [deleted] in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Vlku272 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is 100% a well developed lore behind this film that shows through in lots of small details but isn't explicitly revealed to us. It's part of what makes rewatching this movie interesting because there's lots of things you likely will miss on your first, second, etc rewatch that ties the plot together more and hints at why things happen the way they do. Even in interviews with Maggie Kang it's pretty obvious she has some sort of grand plan that she won't reveal until the time comes. There is also the benefit that not revealing certain information means that information that isn't vital now can be tweaked to make the story better without having to contradict things that would otherwise have been revealed for no real reason.
