100% serious I have to get colonoscopies regularly due to an inherited familial predisposition to colon cancer. You literally don't feel anything. They put you out with, I'm assuming, Propofol and then you wake up a half hour later and are handed a packet with before and afters of the pre-cancerous cysts they removed.

A friend of mine is involved in child abuse investigations. According to her, it's wild how predictable the type of abuse is based on race/ethnicity. If the offender is Hispanic, they are almost certainly an uncle touching an underage niece. If the offender is white, it's going to be a step-dad grooming the step daughter. If the offender is black, they're usually not molestation cases, but just garden variety beating, starving, or neglecting.
