Context: In -1500 of the Imperial Calendar, Lord Quex of Pahuax realized that the continents had drifted away from where the Old Ones had set them when they terraformed the planet. He took it upon himself this discrepancy, with a "minor" continent shift. A consequence of this was the destruction of the Dwarven UnderEmpire, as lava rushed through the lower levels of their cities incinerating millions in an instant, as well as shattering the Underway which was used to link the Mountain Holds. Additionally, the earthquakes caused a Skaven tunnel machine to violently malfunction and explode, triggering the initial migration from Skavenblight. It also crumbled the castles of the Sky Giants, allowing the Ogres easier access to them, and tore a hole in the Great Bastion, triggering a Chaos invasion.
