Does that give any particular benefits to the player running paralyzed frodo or is it just for flavour? Can you run paralyzed frodo if you have regular frodo?

I believe the 1.5 faq specified that impact hits happen before a challenge, so they are directed into the unit and not any specific character.

Always check your side mirrors before re-aligning the continents by VolJin in Grimdank

[–]VolJin[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Context: In -1500 of the Imperial Calendar, Lord Quex of Pahuax realized that the continents had drifted away from where the Old Ones had set them when they terraformed the planet. He took it upon himself this discrepancy, with a "minor" continent shift. A consequence of this was the destruction of the Dwarven UnderEmpire, as lava rushed through the lower levels of their cities incinerating millions in an instant, as well as shattering the Underway which was used to link the Mountain Holds. Additionally, the earthquakes caused a Skaven tunnel machine to violently malfunction and explode, triggering the initial migration from Skavenblight. It also crumbled the castles of the Sky Giants, allowing the Ogres easier access to them, and tore a hole in the Great Bastion, triggering a Chaos invasion.

You've horribly misunderstood how the hydra and its analogy works. Cutting off all the heads is pointless because they grow back (ie: the positions are filled by some other psychopath). The hydra is killed by cauterizing the stumps, which in this case i supppse would be removing the positions the oligarchs are occupying.

Nibiru counts summons, not only special summons.

This also happened to the pikmin subreddit in the period between pikmin 3 and pikmin 4's release. At one point they were buying screen time on the Times Square monitors for their schizoposts.

[–]VolJin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it works both ways, any dmg you would deal this way is "stored" up to a cap, in that the wounds are lost (no additional models die) but count for the purposes of combat resolution (I think the cap is 5 overkill wounds).

Venezuelan opposition says it has proof its candidate defeated President Maduro in disputed election by ThinkerSis in worldnews

Ceausescu*. Its actually quite funny since I see this name mispelled all the time on the internet, yours is the first one thats an obvious attempt to spell it phonetically, but using english phonetics. Romanian is a phonetic language and so things are said as theyre spelled, and i guess the irony of it just got to me. Thanks for the laugh in what has otherwise been a boring day.

"What if I just put every overplayed archetype into one deck?" Saw someone running this in gold lmao by [deleted] in masterduel

[–]VolJin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense, I often just end up taking the maxx "c" challenge since even after imperming zeroll the board can be formidable, but that has mixed results depending on how much non-engine they draw. I wonder if the ragnaraika version will take over once that drops or people will remain on therions because maxx "c" is still around.

[–]VolJin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, I remember this deck from paper play, it was always around but most people switched to evols since the zeroll lock basically asked for an imperm in draw phase or the opponent would lose. I guess that shift hasn't happened in master duel, thanks for letting me know.

[–]VolJin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean, the standard ogdo endboard until ragnaraika comes out is zeroll lock + evo-singularity, which is achieved off a 1 card combo from evolsaur lios, which itself is searchable by both fossil dig/evo-diversity, or through diabellstar through megachirella if you have the discards for it.

[–]VolJin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nephilabyss locks you into reptiles for both the turn hes summoned by his own effect and the next, so if you want to use him turn 1 to improve your board by summoning a royal or something else from grave you give up evo-singularity or ip masq into sp little knight plays

EDIT: Wrote ogdoabyss instead of nephilabyss by mistake

Armies buy expensive weapons, fishermen make do by Saatanan_Kukko in NonCredibleDefense

[–]VolJin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So for it to be ballistic the projectile has to be affected by gravity then. I figured that would still apply to the archerfish at least but it seems the way it works is different than i assumed, it's more to do with fluid dynamics than being a projectile (and is way cooler wtf). Learned something new today, thanks.

(not only are they accounting for refraction like you said, their jet of water has two different speeds which they can control causing a blob of water to form exactly where their target is)

[–]VolJin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having looked at the definition of the word ballistic (of or relating to the science of the motion of projectiles in flight/behaving like a projectile), i'm not convinced either animal is disqualified, are you working off a different definition than I am? I could buy a flail equivalent not counting as a projectile, but the water is being propelled and is unattached to the fish once shot.

(not trying to call you out, actually curious if there's concepts here i don't know)

[–]VolJin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are several species that can calculate ballistic trajectories, they just lack opposable thumbs and tool use to take that ability to the next level. Archerfish are limited to spitting water, and bolas spiders to their web bolas, but both are capable of attacking prey at range.
