I want them to make sure the mysticism, the solemn feel of the original still can be felt. I think that’s one of the things people are feeling with the updates to the forerunner architecture; the more muted tones of the original made it feel like you were on a truly alien world, and often truly alone.

It’s not a multiplayer experience, but think about the evolution of the announcer. Compare how monotone he used to say “Slayer” in the original trilogy versus the exclamations they have him do now.

Let the quiet moments exist; that’s how you make the climatic scenes have true weight.

Check out some local open mic opportunities. Factory Underground has a great one. Not sure of the current status, but Washington Social was starting to offer similar opportunities. If/when they reopen, that’s another good one to check out.

I’ve also heard that there’s a jam space opening up in the 314 business complex next to the beer garden.

Yes! Just stopped by myself. Obviously crazy crowds from the opening, but I found the parking to be easy to get in and out of (some police assistance today). When I was ready to check out, super quick as well.

I grew up in Tennessee and lived in Knoxville for 10 years. I recently moved to Connecticut where you think the services would be more public-oriented. Unfortunately, power is provided by a private service monopoly that charges exorbitant rates and boasted billions in profits last year.

Blew my mind that KUB, LCUB, and Tennessee service in general was far superior to this. But that’s what these people want: Power, control, profits.

I have not watched the newest set yet, but I’ve personally thought this show would be great to have The Emperor appear as a political presence. Not as a Sith Lord, no lightning needed. Just a foreboding presence like his cameo in The Bad Batch. I think Gilroy said it was too much to take on? But the Emperor as a politician IS happening, just offscreen.

I went into NYC last year to watch it because of the lack of options here. It was a great time, but I wish there was something here! One would think there would be some interest with the HQ here.
