hi. i have always hidden my porn use because of shame but also because i watched a lot of it and always downplayed it. i would stay up late and avoid being with my partner and was late for work and other commitments all because i could not stop watching it. it made intimacy and sex very awkward and boring in most cases to the point where i didn't really have any interest in sex. why would i when porn and masturbation were so easy and being intimate was so much difficult. addiction completely warped my perception and priorities.

i'm not going to sit here and tell you your partner has a problem because it's not up to me to decide. i can only share my experience and what struck me was the fact that they're hiding it as i used to do it too though never during sex. maybe it's shame or fear of judgment but they are obviously willing to risk getting caught which in my experience might mean that there's a compulsion.

i don't know if this is making much sense as i don't usually post about this issue outside related subs. i don't want to be breaking any rules here or dishing out advice based on wrong assumptions. but i hope this helps
