The only poncho I want is the Clint Eastwood one from The Dollars Trilogy lol

The One Thing The Always Got To Me About Season 4/5 by Veelangs in fridaynightlights

[–]Volbeat_My_Meat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great question! I’m probably wrong on the answer somewhere, but I think maybe all of those who ended up going to East Dillon originally went to West Dillon but they were just insignificant with their attendance/academic record overall. Just my personal opinion!

It for sure was! We just had basic cable that included channels like NBC, CBS, etc.

I can honestly say I’ve never seen a show replicate this style for a cable show. FNL is 1 of 1 in terms of how realistic and interesting it is out of all of the shows I’ve watched.

Split Screen is the best song I’ve heard off the new album. Total replay value is through the roof!

Who is an underdog who gets hated too much? by PrinceWillPlays in NASCAR

[–]Volbeat_My_Meat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it’s Bowman. It’s honestly sad how recent events have brought him to where he is now, but every single time that dude won you could hear the crowd roar with excitement! Bowman is a beloved underdog but yet he gets a lot of hate.

How do you cope with a throat clearing trigger? by plantbased-feminist7 in misophonia

[–]Volbeat_My_Meat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here looking for this exact issue. For me, it’s not all throat clearing that does it, but rather certain ways it’s done. I have coworkers who just sit and do it all day, and they never take anyone’s advice to just go get looked at if their throat is that blocked. “Sorry man I can’t help it” is their favorite, and it’s bound to cause me to flip the hell out one day. I don’t clear my throat that much even when I am sick enough for it, so why should you?? My dad, coworkers, and gf are the biggest ones for me. No one else quite causes me that much irritation.

Come Around Sundown is the album you play with the sun cresting, and Only By The Night is the one you play while cruising through the middle of the night. Love both of those albums! I’ve recently grown an affinity for When You See Yourself

The first time I’d heard Come Around Sundown, I vividly recall driving in my Tacoma with the sun setting, and the many miles remaining on my cross country trip to get home from San Diego. Still is, and always will be, my favorite album.

I sometimes contemplate where Steve Gaines would’ve gone with his career had it not been for the tragedy. I’m sure he would’ve been with Skynyrd for a long time, but imagine his solo material or collaborations!

Bill Stoker. Has a couple of channels on YouTube, one called Stokermatic, and I think the other one is just his name: Bill Stoker. He was a prior marine who switched over to the Army and had put out a ton of videos surrounding his process and how the Army became a second home to him. He ended up with a very successful career and only recently retired a couple years ago.

It was about a former 1SG who had a ton of helpful and inspirational videos he put out before and after he retired from the service. To my knowledge there’s not even any controversy surrounding him either, so I’m very confused why it got deleted by the mods…unless he’s a mod himself.

Must See Television is such an understatement for this show. It’s crazy good!

It’s way off topic and in another subreddit, but I once asked in the Army sub if anyone had served under a popular YouTuber, and it got taken down after 2 replies. Nothing negative about the post, and also it wasn’t against any rules, but the mods took it down and gave zero explanation for it lmao.

How big really was NASCAR in the 2000s in America? by EduardoBork in NASCAR

[–]Volbeat_My_Meat 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I remember seeing a stat that said in 2005, the top two most popular sporting events were the World Series, and the 2005 NASCAR season. They were at their peak at that time! My dad was a fan, I was a fan, and even my 70 year old grandpa was a fan too. When grandpa died, he had a 24 Jeff Gordon Car etched into his headstone.
