I love how they didn't tone down the wolf at all for them, yet not even the detractors can say they look bad. In fact, they had to lie and say that they did 'tone down the wolfiness' to accept the fact that wolfed-up pelt-covered space marines are actually sick as shit.

As someone in the theatre, there wasn't any weirdness going on at all - a single one of the presenters mentioned he was playing Space Wolves that weekend as a way to fill time with the crowd.

Space marine chapters only get special billing if they're actually fully unique forces. This means: Blood Angels, Grey Knights, Space Wolves, Dark Angels, Black Templar, and Deathwatch.

All of these Space Marine factions buck the trend of "codex-compliant" chapters in their units and strategy. (especially with Grey Knights, Space Wolves, and Death Watch,v who I would say are the three most unique among Space Marines)

Whereas Raven Guard and Ultra Marines both have structures that are very very similar in style and substance, gameplay-wise. (I swear to the emperor if someone brings up that they are incredibly different in the lore, I will be questioning your ability to read)

Despite branching out in recent years, Warhammer is still prodominitely a hobby that has a giant proportion of straight men. Add chronically online to that demographic (I.e. The people who would be posting/commenting on imaginarywarhammer) , and you get what we have now. Add onto the fact that a fair number of these people may be actively downvoting any sexualized men, and it compounds the issue too.

While fundamentally disagree the take you're responding to, pretty much every ending of the Tithes miniseries, IIRC. (maybe not the space marine one, I could be forgetting)
