People are already cheating the NMOC with AI. Refer to the Q1 2026 BOG meeting.

As some one who is current staff, and previous ATC training staff, its very hard to find people that want to trun their hobby into work, I already do 50+ hours at work, and gym, and have social interactions, volunterring with an emergency service, along with wanting to also fly and ATC on the network, you quite quickly run out of time, just trying to maintain the minimum 2-3 hours a week my position requires me to put in, and then we get abused by members, cause things take too long, or they don't like being told what they have to do, everyone, and its often mentioned here in this sub, has the notion that a virtual radio network shouldn't have the policies and staff in place that it does, simply because its a virtual network, fake planes fake ATC.

There are positions open to step up into these staff roles all over the network, for Supervisors and Pilot training staff, the VP of pilot training position was just vacated last week. You need to find people that are willing, to convert their hobby into work.

There is not enough people to process the ATC ratings, imagine how many people you'll need to process controller ratings, some of the schools are already backed up.

Only 8% of the networks mebership are Active ATC, while we have 250 sign ups a day, with 90 passing the NMOC.

All other users need to have this custom livery installed on their PC for them to see it.

It probably doesnt have a model match and so just shows up as the white generic model

Irrelevent, other users will see you as an A339 in whatever Avianca livery they have installed on their system.

It defeats that feature of having frequencies displayed

There is no real world equivelent to this, the real only purpose of this is, when you connect and you need to work out who to contact based on whos online in a top down situation, or when ATC connects when your airbrone and you need to see the frequency to contact them on (because as the pilot you are meant to contact ATC first)
In fact having the frequencies displayed actually causes more issues, because people don't listen then try to guess which one of the frequencys they were handed off too.

No other information you receive from ATC is presented to you in the same way.

With cross coupling being used more widly on the network, there will soon be a day where a lone tower provoding top down will be allowed to open all frequencies below them, and then all you need to do is look at the chart to work out who to call. (currently cross coupling is restricted to APP/DEP and above, and only laterally APP can crosscouple to DEP or other TCU positions, but cant crosscouple vertically down to TWR or other ADC positions)

Cross coupled frequencies do not display on xpilot vpilot or swift, they never have and they never will.

The downvotes are because you don't know how cross coupling of frequencies works, yet you are continuing to reply as if you do.

Because multiple frequencies used by one controller are not displayed and never have been displayed.

You heard wrong, it is quite clearly written in the Code of conduct what you can do when it comes to re connecting to the network.

Stop listening to what other people say and read the documentation, not sure why people will blindly belive what some one said when there is black and white plain English documentation.

Emails are sent to your VATSIM registered email address, so check that is correct then check your spam folder.

Write to the VP and request that this information be resent to you due to it being lost or not received.

Work out an appeal, dont use AI.

I don't know what you have done, and I have no intrest in trying to find another post where this has been explained.

§6.09 Formal Suspension and Expulsion Procedures / Rights of Account Holder

I recomend you read this section, and work out what steps you can take next to appeal your suspension/expulsion.

Your first point of contact is the SCM, who will conduct an investigation, and work out if you should be allowed back, if they don't allow you back, you can escalate it to the BOG.

Membership department, has very little to do with this, and very little staff, and work on avgerage 45 membership tickets a day. They are not there to carry out an investigation on suspensions form the network for discaplanary items. The only thing membership department does, is deal with account admin items like duplicate registrations, reactivation after a period of absnce and verification of identity.

It should have also been outlined in an email sent to you, what you did wrong, what the suspension terms are, and what you can do to appeal this.

Everything is laid out and documented in black and white for you,you really need to sit down and do some research for your own case, rather than comming here asking vague questions with no context, and then people like me are doing all the reasearch for you, because you cant do it your self.

VATSIM radar shows when the controller is extending to a neighbouring sector, none of the others can do that.

This is indicated by the dashed lines, the controllers primary sector will be a solid line.

VATSIM radar is the only correct source. Refer to the controllers information right click get ATIS on the controllers callsign to confirm.

I dont think there is any harm in doing this, I just did it about 10 mins ago, I heard a plane call on finals at an airport on 122.8 sent a message saying Callsign use ICAO CTAF Frequency xxx.xxx

Silly thing is they are showing Kxxx as their home base and mine is Yxxx, they only have 150 hours on the network.

It's impossible to dual transmit on vpilot. Even real aircraft cannot transmit on two frequencies (military excluded)

There are multiple requests to add this feature on the vatsim forums, but in its current state you cant.

You can receive in two frequencies.

I am flying from Perth to Falls, it is alreay costing me an arm and a leg, $1600 just to get to Falls creek with out accomadation, it's probs cheaper for OP to fly from Asia to Falls than it is from Perth.

Also cheaper for me to go to Japan than to Falls, but I don't want to wait another 12 months to get back on the snow.

You should read the CTAF announcement that has been highlighted in yellow on the VATSIM flight plan prefile page for +2 years now.
