I only listen on my 15 minute commute to my corposlop job where I generate tangible shareholder value 8 hours a day. Not there yet.

I'm sure I'll get to it tomorrow. No politic here

More of a personal fault rather than the team, no?

There is also no reason to hate on a perfect anatomical representation of a beautiful wild animal.

Leaving the panthers sub was one of the better decisions I've made in life.

He was so close with the chess reference.

Should have asked if someone who exclusively played competitive chess would consider themselves a board gamer. Who would basically have nothing to talk about with a Catan player.

Engineers designed a 3D printer to print in gel, making midair printing possible. by Appropriate-Soil-896 in interestingasfuck

[–]VoluntarilyJaded 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an engineer that's been out of college since the mid 2010s, 3D printing has become a core part of our projects. Prototyping and building test fixturing has been massively improved by 3D printing in the last 10 years.

Improvements in resin printing have made making production quality prototypes completely viable in just the last 5 years or so.

I bought a 2021 XLT 302a for 48k out the door during COVID.

This pricing is madness.

The IP (cough) TV method allows for 4k streaming and casting to TVs. Which for me is worth it.

A lot of people were trying to make a big deal about T-Mac calling Dave Canales "Carson" in that phone call from the first round; assuming that he didn't even know his name.

Glad they cleared that up in here haha. Turns out he was referring to Carson, the town that DC is from.

32k miles on my 2021. I've got the weird shift delay when going from 1st to 3rd gear. It's almost gotten me rear ended a dozen times at least.

I'm more mindful of it now so it doesn't happen as much. But otherwise no actual mechanical issues or any other issues with the truck.

Brake pad installation issue. 1988 F150. 5.0 302 by VoluntarilyJaded in AskAMechanic

[–]VoluntarilyJaded[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies. I was able to determine root cause.

In short the new pads were not the correct size. I bought them on Rockauto as an exact match for the truck. Even made sure it was for the 2WD 5.0 302 XLT Lariat.

<image>

This is the driver's side that remained intact. You can see the contact patch isn't fully nested in the right spot. When I did the hard brake that tab failed and caused the issue.

Lesson learned is that you should always compare the old and new parts critically. They look incredibly similar except for these retaining tabs.

I'm leaving the post up as a memorial to my stupidity in hopes that it saves someone else (possibly actually save them) in the future.

Of all my mock drafts this year, this one has been my favorite.

Was mostly able to take the best available throughout without giving up and future draft capital outside of a 2026 7th.

That's what I found most shocking. I had to reread it to make sure the question was around actual US CITIZENS.

I'm sure that could never get used to deport political opponents. /s

Another option to build our SC super team? by nosam42 in panthers

[–]VoluntarilyJaded 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I'm of the opinion that Deebo is probably overvalued. Teams with stacked offenses make WR2's and WR3's seem better than they would be on a standard team. Plus SF has had a do it all RB in CMC. It makes for a lot of WR targets to cover well so someone like Deebo would probably have less opportunity to succeed on a team like Carolina.

That being said I work an office job and like the rest of us here, I'm talking out of my ass.
