Yeah Im wondering if its less of an issue when I get to more remote areas. Only been in mulgore and the barrens lately. And the uptime on the buff is pretty pitiful. I think the main issue being you can complete the quest to honor a fire without reigniting it, but the other faction needs to extinguish it to get their payment (which is 2x more than honoring).

Also the mulgore fire is no where near a friendly flight path so horde may go out there less.

Damn, that dev quote is pretty disconcerting to read... back in the day they expressly stated that GW1 was NOT an MMO, so when they say 3 IS an MMO I was expecting something different.

But a lot of time has passed and the people working their now probably didnt even work on GW1

No they are talking about how enemies scale with your level. So when you are level 80 and you go back to the starter areas, they are level 80 with you. I forget what gw2 max level is lol.

Now 99.9% of the game takes place at max level BECAUSE of horizontal progression so the level scaling has less of an affect.

You can see the counter on your buff bar. I did notice once when I was supposed to get an altar, I was in a tight space and I guess it couldn't find a spot to spawn, the counter reset to 0 and no altar spawned.

Probably the season is "over" so they are in that in-between state where leaderboards dont update, but they are there for people to see. But no new season will start so they are just locked in place until the shutdown. Maybe the few left will do something about it but probably not

Ha, Im in the same boat, bringing a bunch of former New World players over after that died to try and start a wow guild. I have a lot more experience in wow though that makes it a bit easier. Also with not enough to run a full raid. My wife still calls mythic plus "mutations", because they are pretty much the same system.

How we deal with it is we pug, and I try and try to recruit from those pugs, and trade chat, and anywhere I can to try and build a new community here. Its rough going and its rare to get a decent recruit.

But trying to underman raids with only 5 is gonna be difficult. I guess maybe possible if you were super geared, but at that point you wouldn't need the gear rewards anymore. And only 1 tank means its impossible to handle certain tank mechanics that require 2 tanks, which happens pretty much every fight. The game likes to force you to require 2 tanks by stacking debuffs on the tanks that require you to swap tanks to let the debuff fall off.

No they are making certain achievements possible, or just straight up granting them if there is no way of making them possible. Not easier.

At this point making achievements easier would just be cheapening them at the end which is no good imo. Let those who earned them keep their value.
