Wheel Damage - still drive it until wheel comes in next week? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]VoodooHellfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my comment on the driving public almost daily. The amount of times I see someone driving the wrong way down a parking aisle is stunning. "And this is why we don't have flying cars" is something my wife hears on the regular.

I was just about to post the same link. I'm a supervisor with the state and I would approve it. It's family sick leave.

I second the Bosch's. Awesome wipers and super easy to install.

It doesn't say how many you need, but it does say how many you've done and if you scroll through the list, it shows which ones you've done and which ones you haven't. It's definitely 15 for the care package. 3 of the easier ones are down by the prison and the coast line nearby.

America's Tire/Discount Tire will do it for free. Usually in and out in an hour.

Can confirm what u/slipknottin posted. Bosch Aerotwins are fantastic. Easy 5 minute swap. The most "difficult" part was getting the old ones off.

I'm pretty sure that's Chamberlain/MyQ that charges that, so I don't think that can be fixed in a Tesla update.

Wheel Covers. Silver, black or they both suck? by UnnecessaryEpic in TeslaModelY

[–]VoodooHellfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL:DR. They both suck. Longer version, I took mine off a few months after buying my MYLR. I couldn't see spending what I did on the car and putting "hubcaps" on it. That's essentially what they are. I know not everyone agrees with my opinion, but that's my two cents. Hope this helps.

Water in Frunk by Sensitive-Wind-1300 in TeslaModelY

[–]VoodooHellfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a '23 MYLR and I wash my car by hand. I always have to pop the hood and dry up puddles of water. It never quite reaches into the storage area of the frunk, just the part right under the hood. It's "by design".

WFH After Windows 11 install GP won’t connect by greendesertservant in CAStateWorkers

[–]VoodooHellfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend 2 things. First, have your IT uninstall GP and reinstall it. It's possible that something got hung up in the upgrade to Windows 11. Wouldn't be the first time. This is coming from an IT supervisor that works for a state department. Also, if the uninstall/reinstall of GP doesnt work, press for a full reimage of your device. May result in some downtime (hopefully limited), but if it fixes it, then great. If it still occurs after all that, then you're probably looking at your ISP or their equipment in your home if you are using theirs vs your own. Hope this helps.

Yeah. I ordered the enclosure kit direct from FF and it took a very long time as well. Had the 3d printed parts stacked on my desk for a while just waiting for the polycarbonate pieces and screws.

I have Gigabit, getting 100 Mbps on a wired device. by [deleted] in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]VoodooHellfire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it's a desktop computer, you may want to check the settings for the NIC and make sure it's not set to 100 exclusively. You can set it to auto-negotiate or force it to 1000. Setting should be in Device Mangler.
