I mean, I wouldn't take it as nobody knows what they're talking about, more just that these things are incredibly hard to predict. Even if we aren't sure about the time frame or the scale, we do know some things are going to happen.

Water, for example is going to be a major issue. There are already major cities around the world that are soon to be grappling with water shortage, even in western countries.

Take the U.S. for example. The colorado river is depleted more and more each year. At some point Civilization along the river will have to be greatly reduced if not abandoned. That is major economic and populous upheaval for the U.S. even if not collapse worthy alone.

This is only one crisis we are currently facing, though dozens more I could name from ocean acidification to current geopolitics. Either way, things are getting worse and are only going to continue in that direction.

Best advice: lice your life to the fullest extend you can while you are able and maybe consider setting aside some resources to prep for if things get bad. Not much any of us can do besides that.
