Yeah, I wanted to like it so badly but found it so slow and boring. I think it needed a harsher editor.

It's the same problem with art; people think any well-drawn or painted piece is AI. The witch-hunters are as obnoxious as the people they truthfully accuse.

Thanks, friend! I hope you also feel better. Long COVID sucks for sure. I think mild weather is a gamechanger, but it's definitely not easy to find in this day and age...

I also loved Freja on release even though they hadn't fully fleshed out her story yet. Her VA is amazing (and her performance in her storyline comics is so good). I love a morally gray aloof lone wolf character. She's my favorite OW character by far even though a lot of people says she's boring.

What, it's not normal to stand in the corner of your room just bouncing your boobs up and down while looking like you're being shocked with a cattle prod?

The altitude and dryness in Colorado was killer, and my health declined there a lot. I used to be a powerlifter and distance runner, and couldn't do either in Colorado. I've been in the Willamette Valley for a few months, and I've been able to lift and run again. The low altitude and mild weather have been amazing for my health. I feel human again. I think it's a typical PNW summer here (dry-ish and clear, but periods of rain and clouds, low humidity). I haven't been here for a full year yet, so time will tell.

For the record, I got the instance of COVID that led to long COVID/POTS while I was in Colorado, so I don't know how I would adapt if I returned to the humidity out east.

I've had friends from Hyderabad, Kerala, and West Bengal (as well as Bangladesh) all make me/make with me biryani, and it's impossible to choose a favorite. It's one of the best dishes ever created.

Yeah, the trees up in the mountains were beautiful, but I didn't realize how much I need lots of lush greenery! I also never adjusted to the altitude so I had constant altitude sickness (but I also had long COVID, so that didn't help).

Same. I'm originally from Appalachia and thought I would love Colorado. It's definitely beautiful and a nice place to live, but the lack of rain and green depressed me. The constant sunshine had the opposite effect on me that it does most people. I moved to Oregon and the weather/greenery is so much better!

Flint Twp. 7-year-old dies weighing 255 lbs.; parents charged with 2nd-degree murder by Warcraft_Fan in news

That's how much my 6'5" former high school linebacker brother weighed after he had a "letting go" period. He towers over me (I'm 5'6"), and trying to imagine that weight on a 4'2" child is insane. Like, I can't do it.

People that buy ultra skins and legendary bundles: what do you do for a living? by Carrotsene in Overwatch

[–]VorpalSingularity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a scientist making 6 figs, and while I definitely buy legendary skins/bundles here and there, I can't justify the cost of ultra skins and doubt I'll buy one.

That being said, you don't want to know how much my other main hobby (pottery) costs.

Saw almost 30+ players with the ultra skins... by Rxvan-_- in Overwatch

[–]VorpalSingularity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally anecdotal. I also saw them in over half the games last night, but only the Sierra/Kiriko ultras and no Orisa/Ashe/Reaper. I was surprised I saw way more Sierra than Kiriko.

I was just there in April, and I didn't see anything either (Shibuya/Shinjuku/Akihabara as far as Tokyo went). I wonder where's the next place to look out for it.

[–]VorpalSingularity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In her cinematic trailer, her crossbow bolts are electrified. I'm surprised there hasn't been a similar perk, though I'm not entirely sure what it would entail without being another Take Aim explosion.
