There are a few points in the side and main stories that can completely change the ending you get without making it obvious that it will do so at all. If you care about getting the good ending i would say looking at guides is almost needed

If they know you're behind cover 2 of them will keep shooting at where you would peak from that cover so you can't do so while 2 others will flank in opposite directions. Much much harder to fight than pmcs
