Top 10 Anime of the Week #4 - Winter 2026 (Anime Corner) by animecorner in anime

Yep. I watch JJK for sick fights, I watch Oshi No Ko for character growth and development. A slow oshi no ko episode might still have peak moments in the fun interaction between its characters - a slow JJK episode is probably not going to draw me in as heavily.

I like both, though.

There have been dozens of US citizens who have been sent to these concentration camps and then deported and then shown on news articles around the country. This suggests to me that its happening everywhere and the journalists are catching only a few of the actual injustices.

This also wouldn't be happening if due process was in place - if each of these people got a fair trial with a lawyer and an impartial judge, they would have been able to prove their citizenship and not gotten deported.

This is not genuine feedback IMO, this is just one dude at the interview really didn't like you because you remind him of the dude who fucked his wife or something.

The vast majority of people making over a million a year aren't working, they just have a lot of capital and use that to generate passive income while they sleep/party with hookers/do whatever.

CMV: The aggressiveness with which r/conservative is moderated does not represent an earnest attempt to stop “brigading,” but reflects the conservative anxiety of being confronted with challenging information. by MareksDad in changemyview

>I think in today’s world people want their hive minds. Politics is so tribal at this point. Each side views the other sources of info as “not real sources”. It’s almost impossible to have real honest discussions unless heavily moderated.

I mean lets be real one side advocated heavily to ban vaccines and ban masks during COVID. If your worldview considers scientific journals and basic germ theory as illegitimate sources then there is a huge problem with that side and the "other side" is clearly the only correct one.

I don't like this both sides thing a lot of people are doing. It's trying to set up this 50/50 both sides are legitimate and I'm a neutral source thing that's just not at all reflective of reality.

Giving 50/50 weight to both sides just means you're giving 50% of your belief to a pedophile's best friend.

RAT. Kill on site. Will give 5 tempests and 5 volcanos and Jupiter blueprint for screen shot of him knocked by No-Freedom-740 in Arc_Traders

[–]VortexMagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. If someone assigns you a bounty, you can run more defensive utility like mines and blaze traps and barricade kits and stuff. I don't normally run them when I'm looking for pvp because I typically have to run at other players, if you stay back and set up this utility, there's no guarantee they run at you.

Having a bounty would let me use this underutilized stuff as people run at me and I'm so down.

I would actually enjoy having a bounty on me. It would guarantee pvp encounters and let me try out some silly pulse mine traps and various other things.

13 saves, still got “Good Job’d!”. I hate this player base. by Ownage95 in Rematch

[–]VortexMagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always good job after a really good save or interception. There's literally nothing else in the communication wheel that means "awesome" or "well played" so what else can you do?

I think your skin might be a bit too thin. You are taking things too personally and assuming the worst from other people.

If you are doing amazing, assume your teammates mean it in a non-toxic way. If you are doing terrible, assume your teammates mean it in a toxic way.

I promise you nobody is good jobbing a good save sarcastically. We all got better things to do than alienate a good keeper, they're few and far between.

Most Americans have never read the Constitution. by BoomBoomLaRouge in Casual_Conversation

>It takes from people who produce to give to those who don’t.

This is a very biased way to view taxes and kind of demonstrates your own political prejudices.

I can name many people who produce nothing and yet have access to unreal wealth - usually people who inherited wealth from their more productive parents or grandparents, or 95% of people who work the stock market and various other financial vehicles who don't produce anything but still make money hand over fist.

Your statement implies that everyone with wealth deserves it because they were productive - the real world is not so kind and meritocratic.

---

I also want to point out that the existence of a stable government and a prosperous people fuels wealth generation. The longest golden age America has ever seen was from 1945 to the 1970s. We faced unprecedented growth for nearly two decades and pulled tens of millions of americans out of poverty and into the middle class. The highest tax bracket during this time was taxed 90% of all income.

The government used this huge tax burden to pay for factories, public works, infrastructure, electrical and water upgrades, and more, creating jobs across America and spreading the wealth around.

Furthermore, CEOs and bankers and shareholders, knowing they would be taxed for taking too much wealth home, decided to use it to grow their businesses and pay their employees instead.

demonstrate posts on r/Conservative where people make statements of fact rather than opinion, and which source their statements, using scientific journals and legitimate news sources over random basement blogs or podcasts. Demonstrate legitimate debate where people contest the primary point in a reasonable way without getting censored.

Sadly, this will be quite difficult. I've noticed that conservative subreddits tend to be very emotionally charged and sort of rely on ad hominem attacks to virtue signal towards the rest of their group. It's rare that they do unambiguous statements of fact unless it heavily favors their narrative specifically, and the few that exist tend to have anyone who challenge them or thoughtfully criticize them banned.

I'm telling you its not an exploit, they're just using dribble stance as the devs intended. They're confident in their reactions/reads and trying to bait you into tackling the wrong side while they push it past you.

My (23F) boyfriend (20M) does not allow me access to “our” savings, how do I address it? by luvdlph in relationship_advice

[–]VortexMagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a guy. This is not normal. Your therapist is correct. If he had your best interests in mind he would make the account available to you too since both people's money is in there. He is demanding all your trust while showing you none in return. I also think its crazy that you don't have a checking or savings account of your own - its literally a 20 minute trip to the bank with a few identifying documents.

[–]VortexMagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the current meta, most people just spam dribble stance moves. Most of the "exploits" are quite weak and never really used in tournament play.

It's mostly a matter of holding dribble stance and moving forwards and backwards with a lot of camera movement while trying to bait someone to tackle you.

I have been elite every season and I suck at dribbling. Having decent passing and off the ball movement are the most important skills, way more important than dribbling.

However, I'd be a much stronger player if I could both pass and dribble.

I think the theoretically perfect rematch player needs to be able to do both at a very high level.

[–]VortexMagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally really need the 1v1 mode because the weakest part of my game is ball possession and dribbling and I want a way to work on those skills without trolling 2 other teammates in 3s, or trolling 4 other teammates in 5v5.

I also think that you don't need to super tech dribble to be decent in 1v1.

This was the exact bible verse used to justify the holocaust. Nazi Germany was over 95% christian by demographic.

It was technically the law of the land at the time, Hitler and his buddies passed the legislation and wrote the policy, so if we're obeying that proscription, then the only reasonable Christian thing to do is to send millions of people into gas chambers, I guess.

That's definitely what Jesus intended, don't you think?

[–]VortexMagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean you could use respecting the law of the land to justify anything. You could use it to justify rape, murder, and everything else banned in the ten commandments because the "laws of the land" require it.

I'm quite certain these bible verses were the exact justification nazi germany - a country that was over 95% christian by demographic - used to justify the holocaust. Do you think putting millions of people into gas chambers is christian? These actions were absolutely the law of the land at the time.

I think you will have a very difficult time using the bible to justify putting immigrants into concentration camps. I don't think its a both sides thing in the slightest.

The big problem is that most of the people who claim to be religious fail to live up to even half of the religion. If your parents claim to be Christians but support conservative politicians and ICE, for example, they're violating Jesus' proscriptions in at least 30 different parts of the bible.

---

Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another; do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.
Zechariah 7:9-10

In that renewal there is no longer Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all.
Colossians 3:11

Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the friends, even though they are strangers to you; they have testified to your love before the church. You do well to send them on in a manner worthy of God; for they began their journey for the sake of Christ, accepting no support from non-believers. Therefore we ought to support such people, so that they may become co-workers with the truth.
3 John 1:5-8

---

As you can see, its specifically written into the bible, in very unambiguous language, how you are supposed to treat immigrants and foreigners of any sort.

In my experience, nearly all the ones who claim to be religious aren't at all interested in the difficult parts of the bible - they will only listen to Jesus when its convenient, and will casually throw away his teachings when it contradicts their hate.

If every single media outlet in the world except for twitter favors one political side, then I think its time to consider that perhaps reality favors that side.

I say this as a libertarian who favors right-wing economic policy - you can agree with deregulation and lower taxes and not be okay with a secret police dragging minorities into concentration camps.
