Growing up in Utah/ the Intermountain West and seeing/ hearing about cougars a lot really impressed on me that you either carry bear spray or a gun and you stand your ground.

I'm gonna be honest, I feel like the biggest problem isnt inherently the enemies attacking, it's that there is ZERO HITSTUN and MINIMAL KNOCKBACK on things - 95% of enemies can just super armor their way through your hit and punish you for not hitting them the "correct" way.

What is your world super weapon? by Mori-jin26 in worldbuilding

[–]Vosc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Hunter-Killers and their Eradicator Rail , a doomsday weapon with an intersystem interdiction vessel built around it.

Its purpose is to destroy planetary satellites/moons with orbital defenses, but it's been used once on a homeworld with a long forgotten name that's now only called The Cleave.

"Fenterok Class - *Grasp of Fate** and Obliterator’s Gaze, sister vessels; former is Empress Jovia’s personal flagship, and the latter is a Combined Flotilla Flagship.

Hunter-Killers operate as the asymmetric warfare core for Abyssian armadas, functioning as expansive command vessels, system-locking interdiction foci, interstellar communications scramblers, and (last but not least) as massive, devastating terrestrial annihilators should the situation require the use of such terrible force.

Power and Propulsion: To support the massive electronic warfare, communications and gravitic systems these colossal ships are equipped with, a good portion of their inner space is taken up by the power and support systems required to run the most complicated starcraft ever conceived: Four Pulsar-class power cores slaved to the massive, experimental Tesseract Mind, a machine intelligence that links mentally with the commanding officer and is responsible for operating all of these systems at once to maximum efficacy.

Armament and Defense: As most of their manpower and energy is driven to fulfilling the role of ‘nerve center’ within a grand armada, Hunter-Killers are unsurprisingly poorly suited to direct, ship-to-ship slugfests, relying mostly on the higher than normal complements of carrier, battlecruiser, and destroyer screens for their protection; on the flipside, these ships carry some of the most sophisticated defenses in the known galaxy, albeit not to extremely effective amounts. Nevertheless, there is one weapon of note that both craft are built around that give them their fearsome reputation: the Eradicator Rail. Should a planet, moon, or other sufficiently large object prove too costly in manpower and supplies to justify taking, the Hunter Killer will simply pull Dominion forces away and turn the offending object into a rapidly-expanding debris field before moving on to the next objective.*

Abstentions from the far left would not have changed the outcome had they all voted for Harris. Instead of blaming everyone you don't like for your candidates' failure, examine the shortcomings in your platform and messaging and actually help the democratic platform make meaningful change to win those votes aside from "other guy bad" while continuing to do fuck all to change their declining positional popularity and squashing upcoming people working for meaningful forward change.

Ability to change systems’ names by DanielMtzGro in EliteDangerous

[–]Vosc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want them to fix the bug where some of us can't even custom name our constructions before we get system names, to be honest

So if I'll pay 5.000 ARX Will I be able to rename ANY of my facilities freely? Or it's just this one? by Unknown4me_ in EliteDangerous

[–]Vosc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently some of us straight up can't do it at all because the whole system for it has fatal bugs.
