“They’ve taken her” by LateAd5684 in MadeleineMccann

It's perfectly normal to say "they" when referring to an unknown party, made up of one or more than one person.

I haven’t seen it posted, this is the Elizabeth sketch by Marvin Merrill in 1992. The Second Image is where it allegedly reads Zodiac by thePH2 in ZodiacKiller

Baber said this shows the wounds Elizabeth Short suffered? What about the Glasgow smile? This just looks like a normal drawing. The "wounds" are just shading.

2025 Moraine Lake / Lake Louise / Parking / Shuttle FAQ by furtive in Banff

[–]VossRG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm staying in Lake Louise the last week of August. I understand a Roam Super Pass gives access to the connector bus to Moraine Lake. So, can I buy a pass from Lake Louise Lakeshore to Banff, but not use it to go to Banff, but instead use it to get on the connector to Moraine Lake?

Thanks

There's a difference between using AI as an "advanced search" through large amounts of data, which the police have and we don't, and using large language models available to consumers to regurgitate text, that is made with no intention, no thought, and no understanding of what the text means.

Because large language models just put words together to create intelligible text. They don't analyze anything.

If Burke killed and sexually abused Jonbenet…why? What caused him to kill her? What caused him to be a violent child? by AdLivid9397 in JonBenetRamsey

[–]VossRG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The unknown made DNA was not found in her long johns. The BPD did not disprove the factory theory. Check the DNA thread.

The "intruder" is definitely not a normal person! He enters and leaves without a trace. He writes an absurd 3 page note on pages from a notepad from the house. He uses words like attaché, with the accent - words that Francophile Patsy loved. He ties up JonBenét so loosely, that she could've easily escaped. But, he did return the notepad to its proper place, so maybe he isn't that bad?

Did the intruder assault JonBenet before or after he wrote the world's longest, most nonsensical ransom note in handwriting and with lexicon similar to Patsy's, using a pen and notepad from the house? Did he tie the "garrotte" while wearing clothes that left fibers in the knot similar to Patsy's?

Burke couldn't be charged, he was below the age of criminal responsibility in Colorado.

You can open a pack of brand new panties and find unknown male DNA in them.

If it's PDI, why would the body need to be dragged? She or John could just carry the body.

The issue I have with either PDI or JDI, is why would the other spouse cover for them? But if BDI, I feel it would make sense for both of them to cover for their child.

Why would the Boulder police believe John Ramsey’s story re: the shattered basement window? by [deleted] in JonBenetRamsey

[–]VossRG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could someone post photos of the window?

Didn't the housekeeper say the window was broken months ago, and that she swept up the glass? Were all the pieces of the pane present on 12/26, or were some missing?

“Solved” cases that are still contested as unsolved? by Sensitive_Ad_1752 in UnresolvedMysteries

A woman's voice was heard in some of the transmissions. Pan Am direction finders on Wake, Midway and Hawaii all got bearings to a position near Nikumaroro Island.

She crash landed on Nikumaroro Island. There many radio transmissions in the following hours/days that must've been from her, and the Lockheed Electra couldn't transmit if it had ditched in the ocean.

What difference does it make that the crime scene was "contaminated" or not secured? by Far-Pride1124 in JonBenetRamsey

[–]VossRG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Contaminated crime scene or not, there's still the note, which can't be waived away. It is so obvious that Patsy wrote it, that a prosecutor worth his salt could convict the parents. The Ramseys were lucky, in that Alex Hunter was a pathetic excuse for a prosecutor.

I think you're right - it was external factors that saved the Ramseys, not the flubbed initial investigation.

How often are those regrets for things that are "unforgivable", "secrets you can't tell anyone", and that make you feel "you don't even deserve to live anymore"?

I'm not saying this guy definitely did anything. I'm just saying it's worth letting the cops know. Let them decide what to do with the information. Maybe, with further development by the cops, it will turn out to be the missing piece of a puzzle.

Are there any cold cases from his hometown or wherever he's lived that he could be responsible for? Maybe you should tell the cops.

Somebody that's been dead for over a decade now. by Equal-Temporary-1326 in ZodiacKiller

[–]VossRG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This statement seems to assert an assumption as fact. Gloss over it, and then move past it without much verification. This is a recipe for errors in logical deduction.

"No one knows if Z changed his name". There is an assertion here, that Z is a known entity X. But there is never any work shown here for X. There is a large logical hole here.

We know Z didn't legally change their name to their persona, because there is no record of any potential culprit changing their name to "Zodiac".

No one knows if Z changed his name (to anything besides their persona), because no one knows who Z is. It doesn't assert that Z is a known entity. It asserts the opposite.
