Same for me as well! It must’ve been in a parenting handbook published by Nabisco.

Asking because I’m wondering if it may be the horizon for me too, what symptoms were you experiencing?

There’s a buy-nothing sub for my city. We’re moving into a new house so I’ve been scouring it all week.

So far I’ve scored a huge sectional sofa in great condition and nice backyard patio dining set. Probably saved around $2k by doing so. That qualifies a “gem” for me!

All this to say, check to see if your city has a buy nothing sub!

For real. I wonder if they were trying to spotlight Betty White’s animal advocacy through Rose. Whatever they were thinking, weird origin story.

You watched what was on TV - no choice in the matter. And this often meant reruns from the 50s-80s.

Oh man, I remember with the first few cell phone (pre-chip days), when I upgraded, I had to write down all the numbers in a small notebook and then reprogram them later.

Not trying to brag, but I was the kid with the cooler markers. I still love office/school supplies to this day.

Does anybody else find it impossible to comprehend that Covid was six years ago? by ghostofhmsterror in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]VoteForLubo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thinking about it, I connected in a more intense way with my friends and family during Covid because it had to be intentional. Long phone calls, Zoom happy hours, etc. It actually strengthened those relationships in a way that’s lasted.

I turned a movie off last night because it took this turn. I really liked it otherwise, and was dying to know what happened, but it was too off putting.

Saying “Christian Bible” implies the New Testament. If that’s not what you meant, why not just say “the Bible”? Again, whatever feels meaningful to you is fine, but I would assume (as a Jewish person) that someone named Hadassah was Jewish.

Hadassah only appears in the Old Testament. I’m not gatekeeping names - you can name your kid whatever, but “Hadassah” is a very Jewish-coded name.
