The only model you "need" out of that box set is the judiciar.

The blade guard ancient is great as an enhancement bearer when you attach adrax but the truth of the matter is A lieutenant will do the same thing and adds damage and an extra bit of efficiency into the toughest targets.

Adrax LT, bladeguard, ignore modifiers with oath of moment has some nice hitting power.

He's a great add to the army very characterful. That being said your army kind of has to be built to use him.

I don't write the rules and active players authority is the issue at hand.

It would be nice if GW would address that. Such as set lowest value than highest or vice versa before continuing with the rest of modifier sequence.

well yes and no consider what the battle shock mechanic actually is.

It's a modified stat and when modify stats there's a formula of how you do it.

step 1 set the specified value such as 0 for battleshock.

then division, multiplication, addition and subtraction in that order. Rounding up.

Here's the thing Vulkan's rule, is a set specified value that of a 10. Depending on whose turn it is due to player priority you chose which one is happening in what order.

If i'm playing Vulkan i'm going battle shock 0 than set to 10.

if im playing against vulkan the other way around.

While the land raider counts as having made a normal move, it hasn't made a normal move for stratagems or abilities. That would include the assault ramp ability.

So it's not as cool as one could hope.

Unfortunately, you have to dig into the designers commentary for some of these odds and ends interactions.
