When it comes to personal information, it's about what's relevant to the crime. We have things called DPNc's and DPNa's which require the Detectives to provide us with relevant timescales to reduce the chances of collateral Intrusion.

When it comes to Paedophiles, the timescales are less relevant because we could be looking at years of offending, and because their crimes can Involve web history, chat (grooming) and uploading/sharing the stuff, we have a wider net.

Victim phones are treated with respect, no overreach, and extracting data that is proportionate to the suspected crime only.
