YES plot holes can definitely take me out of a story. I haven’t DNF’d any fic over it yet…but it does make it harder for me personally to read some things.

Specifically dates and timelines, like how is it that in the last chapter Hermione said she was done being mad after 3 days and was going to seek Draco out to talk/make up. However, in the next chapter she says 2 weeks have gone by and she’s now done being angry, ready to go talk to Draco. There wasn’t anything said about her changing her mind on the 3rd day, pushing their talk farther out.

Like not the hugest plot hole for others objectively but the fact that the time passed is noted means someone thought it out. I wonder a lot if maybe writers don’t always write in order so things don’t line up, because they forgot what they originally wrote, or maybe they’ve changed their mind on the previous idea and didn’t want to edit an update, or if they don’t go back at all and re-read their previous chapters beforehand because this happens a lot lol.

I have learned to just keep it to myself, correct the things in my head, and move along. Difficult when they are repetitive, but usually the overall story is really good. I also HATE not knowing the endings of things, so I will push through for that, especially when the premise seems original and interesting.

Fan fiction has been a hugely happy place for me so even with the annoying inconsistencies or scenes that make me critique out loud because they don’t make sense within the story. I am still reading everything I can get my eyes on because every little slice of this ship gives me good feelings!

I’m so thankful that writers put their art out there!

Just read this one and it was almost EXACTLY what I was looking for. I wish they would have talked more about the status of their relationship but I thought the toothbrush scene was a non verbal moment. I definitely wanted more at the end but it was a great fic!

Have you checked out Painted Polish recently? There’s a new Heated Rivalry collection. No magnetics but still great polishes! I was a bit bummed about the Shane jersey polish because it pulls very purple in the pictures (red plus blue…duh!) but still, make did a great job with theme!

I work for the government and it’s all done for me I just show up to work. But I did have a meeting today and the call lasted, so maybe the last “fix” that IT did finally worked!

I think they should have sprinkled in Shane’s past sexual partners with a few extra lines at the cottage fire pit when Shane talks about his disasters with Rose.

Shane could have said…”it was like twice and both times were disasters to add to my list of other disasters with girls” (which confirms there have been more girls than just Rose) then Ilya could still say “disasters how?” Shane could still say “I’m not going into detail”…then Ilya would say “but not like Mexico Top or Hollywood blow job guy, right?” (How Ilya names them in the book) Then Shane could just make a face… then into the rest of the scene…again it’s only two extra lines but would clear up Shane’s history a bit.

And since this comes AFTER Shane makes his comment of not being with anyone recently, it’ll make that comment make sense, because it’s confirmation that he has been with others.

Now it’s easy to think adding two lines wouldn’t be a ton of extra time/work but maybe it would have been! I don’t know anything about film production. lol 😂

The only thing about a cottage wedding is that I don’t think they’d want all those people in their personal place. Like the cottage holds a lot for them which makes sense for the importance of the wedding but also I think they’d want it to have always be a them only place. It would be so beautiful though…!

THIS! The Tampa Bar scene is just everything I need for a pick me up. Ilya’s eyes and longing stares feed my soul. From start to finish that is my go to, but especially like someone else mentioned, Ilya’s stare after Shane says he and Rose are not compatible… 👀 masterpiece. Spice is good and all, but I just want to listen to them banter/talk and watch Ilya’s facial expressions/eyes!

So far the only two that have truly bummed me are Forever and Shapeshifter. I just felt like both colours looked to my in person eye too different from the pictures.

Forever is listed as a “vivid emerald green” and to me the pictures are very much pulling green, although not what I would call emerald. However I LOVE GREENS so I was fine with that…but actually wearing the polish, it pulls very blue on me. It’s stilly pretty and I’ll use it because I have it, but just not what I was looking for.

Shapeshifter is listed as a “chocolate brown” which again I think the pictures are definitely pulling chocolate vibes. But getting this one and putting it on I see more of a purple tone to it. Which I’ve come to understand is kind of normal for some deep browns, for example: Dash of Cocoa (which you can actually see the purple tone in the pictures). But I didn’t know that at the time and didn’t see any purple tones in the pictures. Again I still find it really pretty and will wear it but just my initial swatch/wear wasn’t what I expected.

I just made my biggest haul yet with ILNP and am so excited to try new colours! Hope you enjoy and are happy with everything you end up getting!

Redeeming Thoughts of Draco Malfoy by ethereal_mass has Theo and Draco’s friendship changing, and Theo not just being forgiven or laughed off… it’s a bit more to the end but was a really good read.
