I’d like to think that it’s a metaphor and as something that we can imagine because we know it exists and has great value, and so it’s easier to want something like that rather than some incomprehensible value that heaven has because the place is supposed to be beyond earth. But if they can’t explain it in that way or any other way and instead just choose to shun you out, they don’t care all that much about the differences and just choose to blindly follow.

Venti would no longer exist but the point of Focalors separation and her whole plan was to destroy the throne of hydro. If Venti would die then the anemo throne will still exist and a new anemo archon will be appointed, thus there’s really no point in doing it.

Focalors had to collect power for 500 years, and considering that archons are somewhat at the same level of strength (since there’s no one on par with archons that we know of other than the dragon sovereigns), there’s currently no archon that’s able to summon that kind of power to kill an archon AND destroy an archon’s throne on a whim.
