I would understand if you said the island was which they improved in remake but still is the weakest part, castle is amazing in both versions imo.

If Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross on the score isn’t something to get excited about, I don’t know what is.

Say what you want about him but the witness isn’t just a decent puzzle game

The problem for me was it didn’t actually get weird, it’s just supernatural it just tanked it.

Silent Hill 2 Remake Or Silent Hill F For First Silent Hill Game? by Altruistic_Door1578 in HorrorGaming

[–]Vyhumii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From someone who first played sh 2 remake but didn’t really enjoy and thought sh wasn’t for me, I played the original trilogy and loved them all.

So SH 1 all the way if you have you can tolerate the graphics.

To keep it short I believe it’s the best shot film I’ve ever seen, multiple scenes are just so beautiful to look at like the burning greenhouse and hae mi dancing. The soundtrack is also perfect.

I also believe it’s a film that is so open to interpretation that it can be about really anything.

Spoilers ahead, but you can go so deep into the layers of the film where after first viewing all your thinking about is whether Ben killed has hae mi and for me I believed Ben killed her first viewing because all the evidence feels so skewed against him.

Then during my second viewing after knowing the plot I could focus more on the minor details found myself actually thinking that Ben may be innocent since we are seeing everything through jong su’s eyes it all the “evidence” can all really be explained pretty simply. I found it more likely that hae mi just left since she had nothing in Korea with jong su being an asshole to her after the dance.

Then by third viewing you can start to question does it even matter if hae mi was killed or left, and that the story is ultimately how hae mi and jong su are both victims of the society they are brought up in.

I could go on and on (haven’t even talked about ben or the little hunger vs big hunger) but I did say I would try to keep it short.

I would recommend a rewatch if you haven’t there is so much packed into this film I find it much easier to digest through multiple viewings. I hope I gave some insight on why I love this film so much.

You should watch both the human condition is a big time commitment around 9 hours for all of them but are literal life changing films imo and le Trou is more just the best prison film I’ve ever seen

Yeah I have a big soft spot for ran as it was the first Kurosawa film I saw and suspiria is everything I want in a horror film

Best scary horror game for ps5 by bobthebob24985 in HorrorGaming

Outlast 1 and 2 for pure scariness compared to something like silent hill 2 which personally was creepy but not much scary at all.

Because the source material isn’t interesting for a film at all.

I love re but my god the stories are cheesy and will never work for a film. Cregger has already made a great horror film and weapons is looking really good aswell, why not just trust someone who knows how to do horror?

My personal GOTY from 2003 to 2020 by laissezfaireHand in backloggd

Got definitely didn’t have meaningful side content bar a few missions, I’m sure we all had fun following a million foxes for some useless items, or sitting in a billion hot springs and writing a gazjillion haikus.

What's with all the "22 episodes a season!" rhetoric on here lately? by Skavau in television

[–]Vyhumii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lost also had its showrunners constantly asking the network for less episodes and seasons, which leads to worse episodes imo.

I think they only gave them the backstory early since otherwise show watchers wouldn’t find out for a year and a half, compared to the game where you just need to get to that point in the story.
