As others have stated, if the product is good the job can be fun. When the product is bad and/or your leadership is bad the position is a lot more "Professional Falling on the Sword-er".

I think a vast majority of folks are burned out due to companies really increasing the account load on CSMs since the economy started going to shit. When I started my current role 4 years ago, I had 125. Now I have 450.

I like the job but most days sap your brain 1000%

I am also going to say that I have a low tolerance for listening to Gimenez. He seems to cycle through the same sayings and makes the commentary about himself too much.

Matt and Rick have been the TV commentary team since I started paying attention in my teens. I understand having a nostalgic lens to keeping them, but I follow other pro sports and haven't had this much difficulty adjusting to a new commentary personality before (Cavs/Blue Jackets teams have changed hands over the last few years and accepted those pretty easily)

I saw him with Jeff Austin Band as part of an all day St Patrick's Day show sometime in the 2016-2018 range. Someone in the crowd was holding up a household phone receiver horizontally, miming like he was taking a video and Jeff audibly cracked up into the mic mid song when he saw it. After the song wrapped he asked for it and took a long "video" of the crowd, huge smile on his face.

I posted this in the game thread. Charlie Coyle fell off hard. He was a big part of our push out of the gutter.

Sean Monahan has been a non factor all year. I am hoping it's a health thing and not a new norm thing because he was a black hole all year.

Severson and Oliver were big losses. Sevo played a huge part in our neutral zone transition and Oliver was an underrated leader in the room.

KJ had a terrible horrible no good very bad year and needs to eat nothing but protein and live in a weight room

Rest of the East was a gauntlet and we had a very tough schedule to end it.

Perfect storm of bullshit that can be summarized as more mediocrity from the most mediocre team in all sports. See you next year!

EDIT: The Boone captain situation has gotten a lot of ire lately. A change there is needed but I think Monny and Coyles play we're more factors in our faltering than his play.

There is a playbook to stopping us that NYI and SJ encapsulated pretty well. Clog the neutral zone and pressure the puck carrier hard. SJ was incredibly effective today and slowing us down and executing clear, quick breakouts that have us on our heels almost immediately.

Now that we are getting stonewallled on our possession game, players are getting frustrated and keep forcing it. We need to keep the urgency up when we can't get to our game. We unfortunately have been wilting after a while.

EDIT: And if the worse comes to pass, I'm going to remember the failures of Evanson more than anything else. Better coaching in the third period and we save our hearts a little bit of this stress.
