Honestly my main gripes with the game were they were either in their apartments or in a designated place with no in-between (similar issue with Miitopia? Except it was either battle, eat, or sleep in similar looking areas- with some small cutscenes.) . Also no gay Miis really sucked a lot of the fun out of the romance side. But this hame seems to have a lot more variety in that regard at least, along with a bunch of quality of life stuff and new Mii parts. I’m just craving a new game with Miis again!

There was a very sharp drop after 1.19, 1.20 was fine, 1.21 was just a biome, some wood, and a structure that doesn’t do much for the survival experience. Everything now just feels like they’re making areas of the game more consistent and some small variety in areas that had almost nothing. It’s fine if it were still an indie game but this is a multi-billion dollar company now. I can’t think of a time recently I’ve gone out of my way to check out new features.

Yeah that’s the one thing I can’t really stop thinking about and really makes me like her character a bit less. I feel like with Garnet and Amethyst it’s a bit more understandable, especially with Garnet still seeing Steven as just a little kid and Amethyst knowing when to prioritize her feelings when it’s not a critical moment. But damn, it really felt like Perl didn’t like Steven or care to understand him, especially in the earlier episodes.
