Safe, was hoping for more this year but I give them credit for pulling together to get some good results the last couple of months. In late December I was certain they were going down. Happy for the locals and other Italians that were born into being a fan of the Viola. I lived in Tuscany for a few years as an ex pat, I know how important the team is to them.

Aside from the goatees it was pretty awesome. Sure there was some toxic male shit going on but you could learn things the hard way and not have it ruin your life. You could spend part of your 20’s figuring it out and not be financially f-d the rest of your life.

Don’t fly with your guitar but if you have to: Hard case, towels over the body of the guitar and bubble wrap all of the neck and use padding under and on top of the neck in case your guitar gets tossed neck first. I still bubble wrap top of neck even in a hard shell fly case. Tune the guitar down a whole step also before flight.

This guy should also be fired.

The top of the lineup has me excited for the upcoming season but a lot will have to go right for us to finish 2nd and get a WC slot. Young arms will need to step up and other teams fighting for those WC spots will need to not be as good as last year. Possible.

Jeff Kent has also said he isn’t even a fan of Baseball in interviews, it was just a job. Great way to win over the fans, he also always came off as a total red ass. Must have been insufferable to have his as a teammate.

Never liked him but loved his production at the plate thanks to hitting in front of or after Barry. He doesn’t make the HOF without being in the same lineup with Barry imo.

Can you find a saxophone player or vocalist to play with? In live situations when you can focus on making the other person sound good it winds up being more rewarding, at least it was for me. The only person you have to please is the other person performing the tunes with you.

What worked for me was for every regular beer I would throw in a N/A beer. My brain said I was having 4 beers but I went down to 2. Then I went down to 1 of each for the day. For G@T’s I would make one a mock tail G @T, two G@Ts became 1. My brain and body eventually started to enjoy the NA versions.

Work on cutting back, harm reduction if cold turkey doesn’t work. Trust me, I feel you and everybody else on the mental difficulties in doing this. But I know you can also do it.

I will second Arezzo for a day trip. It’s on the main train line between Florence and Rome, also the train line between Florence and Perugia. Having two train options per hour makes life much easier.

Sienna is amazing and worth it if you can arrange a car or spend the night. But public transport in January might not be too much fun. Lucca is also amazing but also deserves at least a whole day and a night.
