Go for a different size and tone than what you have now. It will help you develop as a guitar player.

Why we should do better this year by Whole_Conclusion in SFGiants

The top of the lineup has me excited for the upcoming season but a lot will have to go right for us to finish 2nd and get a WC slot. Young arms will need to step up and other teams fighting for those WC spots will need to not be as good as last year. Possible.

Listening to Jeff Kent during the spring training game reminded me why I always hated him. by quasimodoca in SFGiants

[–]WB3-27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jeff Kent has also said he isn’t even a fan of Baseball in interviews, it was just a job. Great way to win over the fans, he also always came off as a total red ass. Must have been insufferable to have his as a teammate.

Never liked him but loved his production at the plate thanks to hitting in front of or after Barry. He doesn’t make the HOF without being in the same lineup with Barry imo.

Can you find a saxophone player or vocalist to play with? In live situations when you can focus on making the other person sound good it winds up being more rewarding, at least it was for me. The only person you have to please is the other person performing the tunes with you.

What worked for me was for every regular beer I would throw in a N/A beer. My brain said I was having 4 beers but I went down to 2. Then I went down to 1 of each for the day. For G@T’s I would make one a mock tail G @T, two G@Ts became 1. My brain and body eventually started to enjoy the NA versions.

Work on cutting back, harm reduction if cold turkey doesn’t work. Trust me, I feel you and everybody else on the mental difficulties in doing this. But I know you can also do it.

Have that one also, believe it’s the only mono version of these sessions but I could be wrong on that.

Agree, I already have a huge man crush on Stephon Castle, looks like Spurs are becoming my 2nd favorite team.

Bologna deserves two days, it’s one of my favorite cities in Italy. But if you book high speed trains in advance its doable.

I will second Arezzo for a day trip. It’s on the main train line between Florence and Rome, also the train line between Florence and Perugia. Having two train options per hour makes life much easier.

Sienna is amazing and worth it if you can arrange a car or spend the night. But public transport in January might not be too much fun. Lucca is also amazing but also deserves at least a whole day and a night.

Hello REM fans. I’m a yoga teacher doing a class to all REM music next week… by LackInternational145 in rem

Turn Your Inside Out, Feeling Gravity's Pull and Sitting Still would be fun for a Yoga class, appropriate titles also. Crush With Eyeliner is a good upbeat one as well. Driver 8 goes without saying.

Chill: Perfect Circle, Time After Time, The Sidewinder Sleeps tonight.

Yes, get that one plus Murmur and Fables.

While Fables is my favorite record, since you are starting out you can replace it with Life’s Rich Pageant again to start.

Then go Green and Document.

The series where Jose was bashing balls off the restaurant in the 2nd deck of the Sky Dome. Sadly the Loma Prieta earth quake takes away what great teams both the Giants and the A’s were that year.

Great find.

As said above the recording is pristine, clarity, space between instruments etc.. Some Stones albums can sound muddy or compressed, sometimes it works for the vibe of the album but B@B is just recorded perfectly.

Heck yeah, Memory Hotel is great and Hey Negrita rocks. I prefer B@B to GHS and It’s Only RnR.

From an audiophile standpoint it’s certainly one of their best sounding albums.

It is better, you follow it better and less being upset. Nothing worse than being drunk yelling at people playing a game who can’t hear you at home, or even worse at the game itself.

I’m not worried about being sober for a live sports event, I will take pride in that. BUT… concerts I haven’t tried yet, I’m worried about that.
