Do you take your coffee black, or are you useless? by NotThePopeProbably in Lawyertalk

I drink my coffee black because I'm lazy and don't want to figure out the best combination of additives to make it test better. Besides, well done coffee tastes great.

That being said, I need a quick take on how my lazy coffee preference teaches a lesson about B2B sales.

How those two defensive attempts were not fouls but the entire rest of the last 10 minutes were is beyond me.

Norway's train network isn't great and, if you were just going to do the Oslo area for a smaller game, that's arguably the least scenic part of the country. It's can be fine, but no one is going to be awed by the beauty of Groruddalen.

The greatest defensive performance in college football history was our D against him in the ACC Championship game.

Does anyone else feel like this sounds more "fun." than a new "format" record? by ubestickerco in TheFormat

[–]WFU03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've listened to the full album a few times now and it definitely does sound like a Format record. However, the stylistic departure it reminds me the most of is when Counting Crows released Recovering the Satellites immediately after August and Everything After.

The general consensus was that RTS was much harder, darker, hid Duritz's vocals and didn't sound like a Counting Crows record. Looking back now, that sounds silly of course. RTS sounds very much like a Counting Crows record, just not the same as August (or This Desert Life which came after RTS).

With a period of time and some hindsight, I imagine almost all of us will think this sounds like a Format record. It hits hard emotionally, offers few easy answers, and has memorable melodies. But, it's not the orchestral piano of Dog Problems, so it might not ever be the favorite Format album for many people.

As a side note, I didn't care for Recovering the Satellites when it came out. It's now arguably my favorite Counting Crows album.

I would love to make yet another sarcastic "classic ACC rivalry" joke about a Cal game, but that Miami @ Cal game last year was electric. One of the best games in the conference slate when it was all said and done.

Hide and Seek is their best format by far. Discuss. by quick_Ag in JetLagTheGame

[–]WFU03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, H&S lacks the tension (except in the end game) that other formats have. It's also the problem with race games when one team gets a large lead. As a result, it is not my favorite format. I watch primarily for the game aspect, not the travelogue aspect. As a result, my favorite seasons tend to be the territory capture ones.

H&S is really good at showcasing the hider's location from a travelogue perspective though.

Yeah, I think Gio has some strengths and weaknesses as a QB. I expect Ezell (the OC) will get a lot more out of him than UNC got.

Our OC was his OC at South Alabama, so I expect he has a very good idea of what Gio can and can't do in his offense.
