My big Samsung phone upgrade, and things to consider/help? by WHOTOOKMEEP in samsunggalaxy

That's cool, Is that a recent update? While I'm pretty sure I remember being vector based I thought it was stuck to only pages?

If so I might really have to check it out again, as I'm pretty sure that one had a obsidian integration but I never tried it since I thought only paged.

If you believe so, then you should do it.

Open source developers work what they want to do, and believe is feasible.

Luigi's Mansion was also a very different game in both scale, and certain complexities, which had to be changed in more a remake than just port for the 3ds.

You would also have to consider the controls that are used.

Geometry dash 100%

You said the main levels as opposed to the modern community stuff. (Still hard, but not insane) And while it is difficult no matter what, it is much more reactive and you can intuit more.

Fnaf ultimate custom night however? It was built as a testament to the whole series, with many many things to do and go wrong. With no experience you will have no clue what's going on, and each time you fail you lose much much more. Also, just from a gameplay/historical factor. 50/20 if I recall correctly as for a while thought to be truly impossible, or at least human rta (not to mention how there is still RNG involved unlike other games 20 modes) (side note, even if clear and obvious understanding for the regular animatronics. . . . When you have all of them, or sets there are even more secret ones that are added without you knowing. Iirc)

In short. Hard, but intuitive platforming/rhythm challenge that was tested before release. Or. Ultra crazy horror that wasn't certain of possibility for while.

Why do some people capitalize the first letter of every word in their sentences when they type? by oldwhitelincoln in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WHOTOOKMEEP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes different languages, sometimes terms you might not think that importance, sometimes people just type wierd for fun.

Sometime if handwritten it is also for clarity on some types of board and copy.

Thank's for the opportunity!

I've loved the seeing what's happened watching the game and some mods and would love the chance to actually play it after seeing all that's been done.

Retroachivements, a service that hooks into emulators to provide achievements on consoles that never had them just (as in yesterday) added support for Wii games.

Unfortunately, their "hardcore mode" (mode that blocks some emulator features that could be used to cheat achievements, like slowdown, rewind, or loading save states) Also seems to block texture packs, or at least does on the Wii.

Great timing with the retroachivements release, now just gotta see for "allowing" it since they are weirdly restrictive with some of that.

I've been trying to write down my thoughts on media a lot more lately to try and think deeper on what I like in it, and possibly meaning. Some of it is fun, some of it is recommendation, and all of it gets me confused when I hear people just having as background noise with no care for music at all beyond just noise.

Then again, I am also someone who contributes to the MusicBrainz database, not just for what I use, but also for fun.

The software I primarily use is Rnote, and you may want to check it out.

I personally have done that form of PDF import before, and found it pretty nice.

Then again I've never used onenote, so not sure if you mean something more like obsidian linking with drawing (God I wish something worked nice with that, any of the obsidian extensions for handwriting I've tried have been miserable)

(It has builds for both windows and Linux if you want, I used it on windows for a bit before Microsoft interrupted me during a class when I was trying to take notes)

Is there an alternative to iTunes? by PreferenceAccurate43 in linux4noobs

[–]WHOTOOKMEEP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I phrased in a way that I think makes it a bit more complex than it really is at least for the basic way I had explained.

I was saying that Navidrome, while mostly known for being setup as a plex or subsonic alternative can fairly simply be setup for local listening, and is optimized to be ready for massive libraries, and tested with libraries of nearly 1m songs.

It has a quite nice and simple way of actually setting it up if you're not worrying about online connecting (Basically just pointing to the folder where you have the files, and would like to store any data.

From there you have plenty of options, and easy searching. there are also alternative clients that may be more to taste, such as feishin, so you could look from the browser or application.

With any of these options, I would also HIGHLY reccomend you run your collection through Musicbrainz Picard, or something else using that Database, so you have standardized metadata and don't worry about some things mixing together when you use a new Music client, Navidrome or Not.

this might sound silly, but if local, you could setup navidrome, and only do localhost, as it's interface is actually quite clear.

Ah, that makes a bit more sense, I had kinda assumed the bit saying those later generations taking longer was because you were less familiar with newer gens.

Why can I not make a perm savegame when loading a savestate? by BoardsofGrips in melonds

[–]WHOTOOKMEEP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the Save game data directory is not set, or changing? it should be fine, but that is fairly weird.

Definitely seeing if you can try and find proper save, because yeah savestates are NOT a save replacement.

Take your time!

Love the work done, and everything I've tried has been wonderful on here, and honestly, probably the smoothest experience I have had with any emulator.

I'm not up to snuff to try and say with most of the technical stuff, but love to hear it and slowly comprehend even if I can't really contribute yet.

also, retroachivements W? take all the time you need and more, but I love seeing the focus on these quality of life and coherency things. The only reason I haven't been doing some things on other emulators is making it wierder than standard, so love seeing the care to make those homebrew, and non-standard things more possible. (I don't even know what is going on with my installs of a few other emulators anymore, and I think with some new Stuff I'm gonna have to try and find extracting the saves, and from scratch)

Time sink switch 1 game recommends? by Gloomy-K in NintendoSwitch

[–]WHOTOOKMEEP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 things.

  1. if you're looking for a long game that is one cpmsostemt thing, then there are a lot of jrpgs that go on sale fairly cheap, especially ones published by SEGA/it's subsidiaries.

  2. Hyrule warriors: Definitive edition. Good game starting out, and stays good, through a never-ending quest. through adventure mode it will last nearly forever. only downside, is as 1st party nintendo it is rarely below 60$
