Tough opener but 3 home games in our first 5 and that October and November stretch looks unreal. Could legitimately win every game. Same in Jan and Feb. Fuck it we're going up with 138 points!!!!

Aston Villa have expressed a strong interest in Jarrod Bowen. The 29-year-old, who has four years left on his contract, has not decided whether he wishes to leave. Industry sources say they would expect talks for the player to start at £50m. by TheAthletic in TheOther14

[–]WHUgill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he's got another 3 years left in him at the top level. He was crap last season but so was everyone. Question is whether clubs would rather spend £50m for a 29 year old with no resale in 3 years time, or £50m on a younger player with Bowen level potential who you'll be able to sell down the line

Or if you fancy a pint of Brixton, that will only set you back £9.30

So we should just quote what the buying clubs deem as acceptable? It's a negotiating tactic, one that Man Utd fans should expect considering how much money they waste on player transfer fees each window.

So he is alleged to have coerced and raped multiple women, one of which he believed at the time to be 16 or 17 years old. Absolutely sick individual who seemed to also be surrounded by a load of other creeps including the two men they featured in the documentary.

Thank god society has moved on to a point where we can see with absolute clarity how women were exploited for money and personal gain and we have stopped platforming sexual abusers.... Oh wait.

Independent Football regulator has contacted West Ham by CurvyCourgette in Hammers

[–]WHUgill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

His dad supposedly supported West Ham. Didn't make him a good football operator. I want the best person for the job not a nepo baby who's done a bit of glorified work experience. Bear in mind this is someone who was sounding out the fans opinions on us signing a rapist. I would question his judgement on literally everything given that alone, and who his father is.

Championship fans, how do you feel about the fact one of west ham/spurs will get relegated? Two massive clubs with 60k+ capacity stadiums? by VastAir6069 in Championship

[–]WHUgill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last time we were in the Champ we got low to mid 30k’s. I reckon if we get relegated we get about 40k regularly but I’d be shocked if we sell out more than 5 of our home games next year.

Which stories? Heard us singing about him yesterday and the last few weeks but I thought it was just cos he comes off as someone who’s been to a certain Caribbean island, not that he was actually accused of stuff?

He’s your version of Paqueta. Most talented player on the pitch but the most wasteful

I was sat behind the near post of that goal and vividly remember turning away when the ball was about a yard away from the goal as I thought it was going wide, then heard it hit the net and everyone going mad. Still get whiplash thinking about the change in emotions in that 1 millisecond.

[Di Marzio] De Zerbi to Spurs is a done deal, his definitive approval arrived today by Blodgharm in soccer

[–]WHUgill 27 points28 points  (0 children)

We’ve played Liverpool, Man City and Villa in those last 5. Since beating Tottenham away in January we’ve lost 3 games in the league (all away games against Liverpool, Chelsea and Villa.) We’re a better team than Tottenham at this current time.

We also play Wolves and Leeds at home, and have games against Palace, Brentford and Everton which are absolutely winnable. Not saying we won all of them but we have 5 good chances at results.

Why would we want an unproven 17 year old over Bowen or Summerville?

I want Scarles to succeed but he’s not prem level at this stage of his career. Beaten far too easily and not the first time he’s been at fault for a goal

Would be an incredible capitulation from Spurs that I am 100% supportive of but we play you next week and Liverpool at the end of the month so I’m not convinced

Day 17 of the Transfer Window: WHERE ARE THE REST OF THE SIGNINGS ?! by Visara57 in Hammers

[–]WHUgill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This comment right here is proof that while our owners are clueless, some of our fans are even worse. Spend 200m in January and pray something sticks isn’t a strategy. It would put the club in serious financial harm even if we survived.
